A Dutch cosplayer's recreated League of Legends' Zeri's splash art. League of Legends is a popular game in the MOBA genre. The game features a highly competitive player base and a robust global esports scene. Despite the game being well over a decade old, it remains one of the most popular video games in the world. This is probably due in part to the massive cast of 158 playable characters in the game only ten of which will appear in any given game of League of Legends. Because of this, each new game feels distinct from the previous one, even if the meta results in some champions being picked much more commonly and seeing more success than others.

Zeri, The Spark of Zaun is the newest champion to League of Legends. She is a marksman character with a unique take on auto-attacks and a healthy dose of mobility, a rare trait for a marksman. Zeri also has the same voice actress as Neon, the newest agent in another Riot Games title, Valorant. Zeri has yet to hit the live serversbut with a patch incoming later this week, League of Legends fans can expect to see her released along with it, officially adding the 158th champion to the League of Legends roster.

A recent article by Dexerto features a discussion with Dutch cosplayer Wanderlustluca about her amazing League of Legends cosplay that recreates Zeri, The Spark of Zaun's splash art. During Luca's interview with Dexerto she explained that she had been talking with a friend about the release and realized that she had the pieces to do a cosplay for the champion already on hand and she could actually make a cosplay for her that night, which is exactly what she did.

Luca's cosplay is stunningly accurate, and with the help of some impressive editing, the end result is a near-perfect replica of Zeri's splash art. The cosplay is constructed from a wig and some of Luca's own regular clothing. Another post shows a less edited photo of Luca as Zeri, giving a clearer picture of what she was working with.

The only question that remains is whether or not Luca will try her hand at cosplaying Zeri's counterpart: Valorant's newest duelist, Neon. The characters have quite a few things in common, not the least of which is their lightning-theming and Zeri's in-game design to feel like an FPS character. The two even share some similarities in their hairstyles, although the coloration of their space buns is strikingly different. Regardless, Luca's rendition of Zeri breathes life into the new champion and is yet another reason for League of Legends players to be hyped about Zeri's impending release.
