The next new League of Legends champion, the monstrous and all-consuming Empress of the Void Bel'Veth, will appear in-game soon. The demonic ruler plays a key role in the multiplayer online battle arena title's extensive lore, and soon players will be able to take the Void's battle boss onto the front lines. Back in April a LoL Champion roadmap teased the arrival of Bel'Veth, who looks to dominate the battlefield with brutal poise.

League of Legends originally entered beta with only 17 Champions, but since 2009 Riot Games has continued adding more playable characters on a regular basis. There are now 159 different Champions available to choose from, giving players a huge amount of freedom in choosing their personal playstyle. The last character added to the game was Renata Glasc, who was included as part of Patch 12.4 back in February. The powerful Chem-Baroness specializes in strengthening her allies and disrupting her enemies, making her a great nuisance on the battlefield. The new League of Legends Champion can even use her Hostile Takeover ability to make her foes attack their allies instead of her, making her a great asset to any team.

As announced by League of Legends on Twitter, the Empress of the Void Bel'Veth will be made available in-game with Patch 12.11. The powerful Battle Boss is the leader of other Void-based Champions, like Malzahar and Vel'Koz, tying her intimately into the pre-established lore of LoL. The magical fighter's abilities, like her Death in Lavender passive and Void Surge dash attack, seem to emphasize relentless speed and ferocity on the battlefield. Her ultimate ability, Endless Banquet, unleashes Bel'Veth's true eldritch form to help her consume her foes. Patch 12.11 is estimated to arrive on June 8, so League of Legends fans will soon be able to try Bel'Veth for themselves.

Before Bel'Veth or Renata Glasc arrived on the scene, League of Legends added new Champion Zeri back in January. The Spark of Zaun has a host of different electricity-based abilities that allow her to shield herself, slow down enemies and dash across the battlefield. The scrappy Champion is also able to overcharge herself with energy, which increases damage and movement speed. However, despite this large swath of abilities, many League of Legends players consider Zeri to be underpowered and in need of an extensive rework.

League of Legends regularly releases brand-new Champions, and Bel'Veth looks to be a worthy addition to the game's roster of playable warriors. The Empress of the Void not only plays an essential role in the world of LoL, but her abilities also look to make her a terrifying and relentless attacker. For those interested in testing out this new playable powerhouse, Patch 12.11 is scheduled to launch on June 8.
