Now that more details for the upcoming Riot Forge single-player turn-based RPG have been revealed, fans have a better idea of every League of Legends character confirmed for Ruined King - so far, anyways. With a huge roster of champions to pull from, there will be plenty of opportunities for Ruined King: A League of Legends Story to feature more guest appearances and easter eggs for invested fans.

The notion of a League of Legends RPG is especially appealing to long-time players who have become invested in the MOBA's lore, which often takes a backseat to its gameplay but has been fleshed out in character bios and story updates from Riot Games over the years. While fan favorites tend to earn that label thanks to their ubiquity in team compositions or flashy, distinct playstyles, a few have managed to carve out a spot for themselves based on having compelling stories as a selling point. Thankfully, some of those League of Legends champions will be featured in Ruined King, though their exact roles remain to be seen.

Earlier, Riot Forge announced updates for its upcoming game, providing a list of every League of Legends character confirmed for Ruined King. Fans will immediately notice that all six characters are already popular among fans, with some of them arguably in the upper echelon of appeal. That's likely a deliberate choice from Riot Forge, which will need to balance the excitement of its Ruined King setting and spin on turn-based RPG battles with delivering on the expectations of fans regarding their favorite characters. With champions like Ahri making up the party, that will be a tall order - so here's every League of Legends character in Ruined King, with a guess as to what they'll be up to and how they'll feature into a single-player title.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story will feature six champions pulled out of the MOBA's battlefield and thrown into a single-player turn-based RPG. Those champions will be Ahri, Yasuo, Pyke, Braum, Illaoi, and Miss Fortune. Of those six, four are pretty much iconic in terms of League of Legends lore and advertising - Ahri, Yasuo, Braum, and Miss Fortune have all been around for some time and featured into plenty of splash pages and champion breakdowns. Pyke is a natural fit given the game's setting, which will partially be in his hometown of Bilgewater, where he currently stalks the back alleys seeking vengeance on those who would take advantage of others' misfortune. Illaoi is also an obvious fit, as the game's focus on a port town means the prophet of the Great Kraken will likely play a large role in however the story shakes out.

It's pretty easy to slot Yasuo into the party, since he's a wandering swordsman type of character that wouldn't really be out of place anywhere. Miss Fortune calls Bilgewater home as well, so it's normal for her to be there. That just leaves Ahri - whose search for answers about her own existence and for others like her could lead her to Bilgewater - and Braum. Braum is the least "good" fit of the six, since he's from Freljord, which is a dramatic distance away from Bilgewater according to a map of Runeterra. It will be interesting to see just what brought Braum to Bilgewater - and what that means for the rest of the party, who all have much more obvious, and perhaps less plot-focused to begin with, reasons to be there.

That's every League of Legends character in Ruined King that's been confirmed so far, but if fans want a quick run-down of them one last time, here's a short and to-the-point list:

  • Ahri
  • Braum
  • Illaoi
  • Miss Fortune
  • Pyke
  • Yasuo
