Naughty Dog has just released a brand-new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2, and the game's world looks to be just as dangerous as it is beautiful. Despite a number of delays and some incredibly detailed spoiler-filled leaks of The Last of Us Part 2's plot, many players are still looking forward to continuing Joel and Ellie's journey which first began in 2013's The Last of Us.

With The Last of Us Part 2 finally going gold and the hackers responsible for the leaked information having been identified by Sony, players are now closer than ever to getting their hands on Naughty Dog's long-anticipated project. As the newly-confirmed release date of June 19th edges slowly closer, the developers are trying to assure fans that even if they have encountered spoilers for The Last of Us Part 2, nothing can compare to the experience of playing the final product for themselves.

Now, a new trailer for The Last of Us Part 2 has been posted on YouTube by PlayStation Europe, giving players a better glimpse at some of the trials and tribulations fans of Naughty Dog's survival-action series will face. Check out the video below:

Judging from this new trailer, The Last of Us Part 2 will be an undeniably gorgeous game, featuring all different kinds of painstakingly-crafted, detailed environments. It's also going to be an extremely dark one, with many different glimpses at the brutality that will be experienced by Ellie and inflicted by her, as the character seems much more comfortable with killing - to the point that some of her actions border on villainous, looking at the trailer.

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us was one of the defining games of the PlayStation 3 era, and it's very likely that this upcoming sequel will prove to be just as engaging and enthralling for the current generation of players, if not even more so. While there's still technically a small chance that some sort of unforeseen issue could cause the game to be delayed one more time, the fact that The Last of Us Part 2 is available to pre-order coupled with the game officially going gold means that it's highly unlikely, and the trailer Naughty Dog released today will surely help to hold fans over for one last month.
