The characters on the show come from unique backgrounds with many differences, resulting in them often learning things about each other. The show also relates to other shows like Codename: Kids Next DoorGlitch Techs, 3Below: Tales of Arcadia, and The Owl House.

Rezzoch

Rezzoch

The most feared creature on the show The Last Kids On Earth is Rezzoch the Ancient Destroyer of Worlds. She is described as a supernatural interdimensional being that comes to Earth with one purpose, and that is to conquer it and take it over as hers. She can call out for monsters and create zombies which causes all the more problems to the main character who spends day and night fighting to defeat her.

Thrull

Thrull

Thrull is probably the most despised character on the show. For a while, he was pretending to be Jack's friend only to make him complete a Bestiary, which is a magical book from the monster universe that has the power to summon Rezzoch. The way he tricked Jack into bringing a greater evil on Earth made Jack's life awful. Thrull is serving only Rezzoch and will do anything in his power to destroy Jack and his friends.

Evie Snark

Evie Snark is one of those characters that can be hated and loathed at the same time. Although she is human, her ultimate goal is to see planet Earth destroyed.

Unfortunately, she is brilliant and her intelligence is a nightmare for Quint and Jack when facing her. Her first appearance is in book 4 where she is definitely the main bad guy. The worst part about this character is that she is a human who wants to destroy her own kind which is very illogical.

Chef

Although Chef originates from Thrull's dimension he is one of the good guys. His only lousy trait is his grumpiness that can be nerve-wracking at times. In the early episodes, Chef was not very fond of Dirk as he called him bad names and the two often argued. This all changed in the seventh episode of season 3 when they were forced to work together and Chef realized that Dirk is not such a bad guy after all.

Skaelka

Skaelka

Skaelka is one of those hip monsters who lives to fight against Thrull and Rezzoch. Her weapon of choice is an axe and she has a very gothic-like style which adds to her unrefined appearance. During the show, Skaelka becomes very fond of June and soon the two become close friends. Skaelka loves to fight and she will do anything to protect her friend and everyone who is close to her.

Bardle

Bardle

Bardle is a monster who sees no point in helping Thrull and Rezzoch so he immediately chooses the good side. He is a well-known sorcerer who is able to do magic, cast spells, and is a very good swordsman.

In every moment he can spare he is either meditating or doing thorough research in every paranormal activity that he can hear of. Jack and his crew are very lucky to have a sorcerer on their side since his abilities are endless.

Dirk Savage

Dirk Savage

Dirk Savage is the only character who went from bad to good in a very short period of time. Before the apocalypse happened, Dirk was a total jerk who used to would often skip class, bully children at the high school, and take kids' money. But after the apocalypse, he realized that values are important in life and by teaming up with Jack, Quint, and June, he learned a lot and grew as a person.

Quint Baker

Quint Baker

Quint Baker is the mastermind behind every gadget and weapon ever made and used in the show. If it wasn't for his innovative nature many fights would have been lost. He is very scrappy, but he is also very afraid of facing the monsters since his fighting skills are not the best. His best friend is Jack Sullivan and they go all the way back to high school where they used to hang out all the time.

Jack Sullivan

Jack Sullivan is the main character in the series The Last Kids On Earth. Before the apocalypse, he was an orphan who lived with foster families or in shelters where often had difficult times.

After the apocalypse, he began living with June, Quint, and Dirk at the treehouse and he finally felt like he had his own family. Jack is a very likable character among the viewer since his character is easy to relate to.

June Del Toro

June Del Toro

June Del Toro is the character every girl wants to be, as she is fearless, cool and very smart. Her time playing hockey before the apocalypse was useful in the post-apocalypse era where she often has to act quickly and defend herself with a spear. Since Jack is often showing affection towards June, it is also considered to be adorable that their names both start with the letter J.
