Though not everyone was a fan of Rian Johnson's take on Star Wars, the versatile filmmaker rebounded with one of the most purely enjoyable movies of the last decade. Knives Out is an ensemble movie telling a classic murder mystery being investigated by a famed and eccentric detective (Daniel Craig).

Johnson's love for this genre is apparent and it helps him to play around with the genre in some brilliant ways. The movie is also laugh-out-loud hilarious and is filled with colorful characters. It is the kind of movie that allows the audience to pick up new clues with each rewatch.

The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014)

Wes Anderson can sometimes be criticized for making movies that have the same feel. However, it feels like his style was meant for a movie like The Grand Budapest Hotel. This magical and sprawling story follows a dedicated hotel concierge who is caught up in a murder plot.

The movie is worth rewatching just for the beauty of it, but it is also Anderson's most entertaining movie. Ralph Fiennes gives a hilarious and charming performance in the lead role and Anderson mixes a sense of comedy and beauty in such a unique way.

Scott Pilgrim Vs The World (2010)

This Is The End (2013)

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg made their directorial debut with the comedy This Is the End, and they certainly didn't hold back with their freshman effort. Starring various comedic actors as versions of themselves, this R-rated comedy follows a group of celebrities trying to survive the apocalypse.

Though the supernatural premise might be attention-grabbing, the real reason to rewatch this movie, again and again, is for the outrageous comedy between the main characters. Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and others poke fun at themselves and their careers for the audience's amusement.

Get Out (2017)

It is rare for a horror movie to be rewatchable as the viewer knows where all the scares are. But the brilliance of Get Out goes far beyond making the audience jump. It is the engrossing and thought-provoking directorial debut from Jordan Peele about a Black man visiting his white girlfriend's family.

The movie's comments on modern racism are fascinating as is the gradual reveal of the terrifying truth. But the way Peele builds to those moments, the clues given along the way, and the unexpected funniness makes it so enjoyable to revisit.

Thor: Ragnarok (2012)

It is quite difficult to narrow the MCU movies of the last decade down to one that is the most rewatchable, but Taika Waititi's Thor Ragnarok rises above the rest. There were movies that were more impactful to the MCU, but likely not any as feel-good as this one.

This beautifully animated adventure gives the character of Miles Morales the chance to step into the spotlight. He makes for a wonderful new take on Spider-Man who is easy to invest in while the movie entertains with spectacular set-pieces and hilarious comedy.

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

After 30 years, George Miller came back to the Mad Max franchise and made one of the most insane movies of all time. Tom Hardy takes over the role of Max with Charlize Theron creating the even more badass hero of Furiosa in this relentless and brilliant masterpiece.

Fury Road is a movie that must be watched more than once as it is almost too overwhelming at first. But with each new viewing, fans can appreciate the glorious insanity of it all more and more.
