Makeup mogul Kylie Jenner of Keeping Up With the Kardashians has recycled best friends like they’re going out of style, including Jordyn Woods, Justine Skye, and singer Pia Mia.
While it’s clear why Kylie would cease her relationship with Jordyn, who kissed her sister’s baby daddy, and Justine, who was rumored to be interested in Travis Scott (Stormi’s dad!), it’s unclear why she and Pia lost touch. Although there were rumors of a feud, many speculated the two stars had simply grown apart. It makes sense, considering Pia has a music career to focus on and Kylie has a little girl and a bunch of business ventures to occupy her time. However, it seems the two have remained on good terms and recently rekindled their friendship.
Pia, whose full name is Pia Ajda Mia Perez, began her friendship with the youngest Kardashian-Jenner in 2013. The now-24-year-old seemed to solidify her spot among Kylie’s crew, which included Jaden Smith and Stella Hudgens. In 2015, Kylie and Kendall Jenner posted graduation photos and videos in which Pia appeared. One video featured Pia and Kylie singing along to Pia’s song “Do It Again” featuring Chris Brown and Tyga, Kylie’s ex-boyfriend. During that same year, Pia skyrocketed to stardom, grabbing the attention of Drake and Kanye West. Although rumors swirled that Pia was Kanye’s “other woman,” Kim Kardashian posted a video of Pia singing a Drake song while having dinner at her home—with Kanye and Drake at the table. 2017 was the year where Pia seemed to fade from the spotlight. She no longer showed up regularly in Kylie’s Snapchat stories or on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Fans speculated the two had been feuding, either over Kanye or Tyga. However, the rumors seemed to be put to rest when Pia spoke to ET in 2019. While promoting her role in the romantic drama, After, Pia spoke about her relationship with Kylie, claiming their friendship hasn’t changed. She only had good things to say about the makeup mogul, explaining her friend is succ a great mother and becoming one has only made her sweeter and more loving. The singer even attended Stormi’s first birthday party, which featured a carnival theme. Pia said Stormi is “so cute” and “the sweetest thing ever.” She even said she gave Stormi a star projector for her room as a birthday present, so she can “fall asleep to the stars,” as Pia does each night.
It seems Kylie and Pia are on good terms; they just keep their friendship more low-key than they used to. No longer does Pia drag Kylie onstage at a concert, but that doesn't mean these stars are feuding.
