Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner has been accused of blackfishing yet again after a recent Instagram Story. Kylie, and the rest of the Kardashians, are no strangers to this criticism. Even Kardashian-adjacent people, like Scott Disick's ex Amelia Hamlin, faced blackfishing backlash.

"Blackfishing" is a term used to describe a white person who tries to make themselves look Black, or racially ambiguous. This typically includes using darker makeup, self-tanner, lip fillers, or overlining lips.  The youngest Kar-Jenner sibling was initially criticized for this behavior when she started getting lip fillers years ago. Even after the constant backlash, Kylie was called out for blackfishing as recently as May of this year. And judging from a recent Instagram story, she still hasn't learned from the past.

Kylie posted an Instagram story of her listening to the song "Smoke" by Don Toliver, featuring HVN and SoFaygo. As she faced the camera, her skin looked noticeably darker than usual. The video went viral thanks to a tweet from Pop Crave on October 20. Buzzfeed rounded up just a few notable examples of the many tweets criticizing and joking about Kylie. Twitter user @quakerraina summed up the controversial video by tweeting "The Mulattofication of White Womanhood." Some of the tweets compared her to the infamous Rachel Dolezal. Another brought up Jesy Nelson, a pop singer who recently found herself in the midst of a huge blackfishing scandal. Interestingly enough, Nicki Minaj recently criticized the Kardashians' blackfishing while attempting to defend Jesy.

At this time, Kylie has not responded to the latest round of blackfishing accusations. While she has found herself in the midst of many controversies over the years, she is rare to actually acknowledge any criticism levied against her. The backlash hasn't affected the mogul's success that much either. However, recently, it was reported that Kylie worried about the failure of Kylie Swim, her new swimwear line. Still, she did not publicly comment on the much-ridiculed bathing suits.

While Kim Kardashian has been accused of blackfishing for the longest time, her youngest sister may have her beat in terms of notable controversies. But every Kardashian has been routinely accused of engaging in this harmful behavior. With blackfishing in the public eye thanks to the Jesy Nelson and Nicki Minaj scandal, the famous family may not be able to ignore the noise for much longer.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians has ended, but the Kardashian family isn't going anywhere. They are currently working on new shows for the streaming service Hulu.
