Former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star Kylie Jenner posted for the first time on Instagram since going dark on the platform following the tragic events at the Astroworld Music Festival. Kylie was present with her daughter Stormi at her boyfriend Travis Scott's concert on November 5 before a violent crowd surge claimed the lives of now 10 concert-goers and injured hundreds of others. Travis now faces billions of dollars in lawsuits, as many who are suing feel the rapper and event organizers should be held accountable for continuing with the show while chaos ensued in the crowd.

Kylie, who is expecting her second baby with Travis, announced she and her man were "broken and devastated" by the news of the tragedy. The makeup mogul claimed they did not know of any fatalities in the crowd while Travis was on stage. Fans weren't sold on Kylie's statement, however, as they noticed she kept video clips of an ambulance in the Astroworld crowd up on her story for a period of time after the event. The backlash and circumstances around the tragedy led Kylie to totally disappear from social media – something she hasn't done since her first pregnancy.

After about two weeks away from the internet, Kylie made an understated return to Instagram with an IG Story post. Instead of addressing her leave or making a typical promotional post for her businesses, Kylie dedicated the slide to family friend Hailey Bieber. The star posted a dreamy-looking pic of Hailey and Stormi swimming together. "Happy birthday @haileybieber," Kylie captioned the photo. "You are such a beautiful person inside and out. We love you."

Kylie's quiet return to IG follows fans' intense online criticism of not only the expecting mother and Travis, but also the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan. Kylie's sister Khloé Kardashian was slammed for posting "insensitive" selfies days after the tragedy. The Kar-Jenners have been accused of trying to distance themselves from the fatal incident, with Kim Kardashian only offering her brief condolences on Instagram before promoting her SKIMS launch. Kylie was reported to have returned home to Los Angeles after supporting Travis in Houston for several days in the aftermath of the incident.

The Astroworld tragedy has already taken a toll on Kylie's professional image. Travis and Kylie were dropped as W Magazine cover stars almost immediately after the incident. Unfortunately, more bad news comes from the Astroworld tragedy as time goes on, and fans are growing uncomfortable with Kylie's silence. Kylie may be testing the waters with followers on her latest IG Story post to see if Keeping Up the Kardashians fans will be receptive to a full-fledged return.
