Since dating Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker is overcoming his fear of flying and remembering his late friend who saved his life after a tragic plane crash. Kourtney and the rockstar have been in a whirlwind romance after going public with their relationship earlier this year. Travis and Kourtney, who shares three children with ex Scott Disick, have been all over social media showing off their affection for one another. While Travis is bringing out a new side to Kourtney, the reality star is also helping her man make some big changes in his life too.

Travis hasn't always been one to fly to other countries Kardashian style. The Blink-182 drummer survived a deadly plane crash 13 years ago that claimed the lives of four people, including two of his close friends. Other than Travis, the only one to survive the crash was his friend Adam "DJ Adam" Goldstein. The two were badly injured in the accident and Adam helped save Travis' life by putting out the fire on the musician's burning body. DJ Adam died of a drug overdose about one year after the plane crash in 2008. Since the crash, Travis swore off travel by planes over the last decade and opted for ships to transport him to different countries to perform. In recent months, Travis appears to be facing his fear and turning a new leaf with his travels.

Travis posted a sky view of a city to Instagram Stories Saturday, indicating the rocker took flight that evening. In a later IG Stories post, Travis posted a photo in remembrance of DJ Adam. Travis honored the friend who saved him after he joined Kourtney in Portofino, Italy, Friday. The pair was spotted smiling and packing on the PDA while out and about in the fabulous destination. The stars shared with their Instagram followers their ride on a small boat and romantic Italian meals together.

Prior to Kourtney and Travis jetting to Europe, Travis joined his girlfriend on a plane for the first time since the deadly plane crash two weeks ago. The couple rode on sister Kylie Jenner's private jet to Cabo San Lucas with mother Kris Jenner and her boyfriend Corey Gamble. The Mexico trip was clearly a giant step for Travis overcoming the trauma of the 2008 crash. Following their trip, Travis praised his lady on IG, writing to Kourtney: "with you anything is possible." The KUWTK star responded to his sweet message: "anything and everything with you."

Kourtney and Travis' romance isn't cooling off anytime soon. In addition to the steamy photos the couple constantly shares, Kourtney and Travis' relationship is developing into something deeper. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has clearly bonded with the musician in a positive way, allowing him to overcome his fears and take transatlantic flights to enjoy vacation time with his new love.
