According to a source, Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Scott Disick feels more distant than ever from the Kardashian family, and it's only getting worse with Kourtney and Travis Barker's engagement news. Scott and Kourtney have three kids together and were on and off for years before finally moving on with other partners. However, once Kourtney started dating Travis, her long time friend, things seemingly took a turn for Scott.

It became apparent that Scott was having issues with Kourt's new relationship in August, when her other ex, Younes Bendjima, shared screenshots of an Instagram DM from him. In the DMs, Scott shares a paparazzi photo of Kourtney and Travis in full on PDA-mode while vacationing in Italy. He wrote to Bendjima on Instagram, "Yo is this chick ok!????? Brooo like what is this. In the middle of Italy." Bendjima responded that he only cared that Kourtney was happy and signed off by telling Scott they were not "bros." It was the first time that all of the jokes about Scott likely being upset by Kourtney's new romance seemed to be confirmed online. While that likely hurt enough, Kourtney and Travis seemed to take issue with Scott's stance on their relationship and shared cryptic Instagram posts that seemingly trolled Scott for being so irked, so publicly.

While fans reveled in the drama on social media, things are apparently worse than they look on the inside, according to a source. They told Us Weekly just days after Kourt and Barker were engaged in October, "The Kardashians adore Scott and tell him he’s part of the family no matter what, but he feels very distant and feels like an outcast more than ever." The source went on to say that Scott avoids any family get-together if Travis is there and that "he has refused to be in the same room with him at times.” "It’s fair to say the holidays this year are going to be rough and will be a battle over the kids," the source reportedly added.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker at Saturday Night Live

Although Scott and Kourtney have maintained a close relationship and co-parent their children together, it often seemed both in the media and on the final Keeping Up with the Kardashians seasons that Scott still held out hope they would one day be together, romantically, again. In the final season, Kourtney's sisters and Scott talk about them possibly getting back together, though Kourtney rebuffed the suggestion, saying there were issues that she and Scott just might not ever resolve. Now, it's clear Kourtney and Travis were already likely dating at the time, and Scott was also involved with now ex-Amelia Hamlin.

Given his recent breakup with Hamlin and Kourtney's engagement, it can't be easy for the ever emotional Scott these days. That being said, Scott was spotted in New York City with the family in October to celebrate Kim Kardashian's Saturday Night Live hosting gig. Kourtney and Travis were not in town, so it's very possible that things are icy between the three as insiders say. The two were spotted backstage at 30 Rock a week later, canoodling backstage before Travis performed on SNL, too.

While Scott might not be cheering Kourtney and Travis along, the rest of her family and friends are thrilled about her good news. Since her engagement, her sisters, mom, and closest Kar-Jenner friends have posted on social media congratulating the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star. Hopefully Scott will come around and get just as excited for Kourtney and Travis as everyone else is.
