The eldest Keeping Up With the Kardashian sister and her fiance Travis Barker seem happier than ever, but her ex Scott Disick steered clear of the steamy romance after a mutual friend’s wedding last weekend. After a nine-year relationship, Kourtney and her ex-boyfriend Scott share three children — Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Kourtney’s on-and-off-again relationship with Scott ended in 2015, but the pair have successfully co-parented their children since.

After splitting in 2015, Kourtney and Scott remained cordial with one another for the sake of their children, with many fans even contemplating if they would one day get back together. Travis Barker has been a friend of the Kardashian family for quite some time, even appearing on four episodes of KUWTK since the 13th season. Once Kourtney and Travis began dating in January, the family was unsurprised. The pair became engaged in October 2021 after ten months of official dating. While Scott and Kourtney have been friends since their breakup, the recent engagement has reportedly caused Disick to garner some distance from the couple.

This past weekend, the Kardashian clan and Disick attended their mutual friend Simon Huck’s wedding. An E! News source close to Disick reported that Scott “kept his distance for the majority of the night.” Since the beginning of their relationship, Kourtney and Travis haven’t held back their affection for one another. Scott expressed to the same source that “he doesn’t want to see Kourtney and Travis’ PDA and doesn’t want to engage.” Wedding guests included Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and their mom Kris Jenner, with Scott reportedly spending time away from Kourtney throughout the night.

The E! source explained that “it’s still very awkward for Scott to be around them but he knows he can’t escape them.” Luckily, Scott reportedly spent time with other friends who attended the wedding and “was hanging with Kris and Khloe most of the night” and for the most part spent the night “sitting and chatting with friends.” A second source reported to E! that “Scott was taking a break from seeing Kourtney and the family.” But in light of the Kardashian’s upcoming Hulu series Scott understands that he will need to be present and accept Kourtney’s relationship.

Throughout the years, fans of Keeping Up With the Kardashians have watched the sisters seek and find lasting love, with Kourtney and Scott’s relationship being a major arc of the series. While some fans may have rooted for Kourtney and Scott to get back together, Kourtney has clearly moved on, even expressing interest in having children with Travis. Likewise, Disick also has seemingly moved on as he recently reunited with his ex, Christine Burke. The relationship between Kourtney and Scott has changed since their 2015 split. Despite this, their children have always come first, with the pair remaining close throughout the years. While Kourtney’s new flame may provide some challenges for Scott, his close-knit ties to the Kardashian family don’t seem to be going anywhere.
