Pete Davidson has reportedly hired security for the first time after hearing Kanye West threaten him and because he's dating a Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. Kanye called Pete out on his latest music release and threatened to beat Pete up. With Pete being in a high-profile relationship with Kim Kardashian, the comedian is experiencing a new level of stardom. Thanks to all the added attention from Kanye's diss track and Pete has decided to beef up security to ensure his protection.
Last week, Kanye released a song with The Game called "Life Was Never Eazy" and used his verse to take aim at Kim and her new boyfriend. The Yeezy founder seemingly shamed Kim's style of parenting claiming she resorts to nannies instead of being fully present with their four children. Kanye also called out Pete saying, "God saved me from that crash/ just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass." Sources say Kanye is extremely jealous of Kim's public relationship with Pete amid their ongoing divorce. But over the last week, Kanye has been speaking out against his ex-wife as she tries to move on with her life.
Insiders claimed that Pete was amused by Kanye including his name in a song. But with it being a threat, Pete is making the smart choice to ensemble a security team for the first time. “Pete isn’t worried about Kanye, but he is concerned about the massive fanbase that Kanye has. His devoted followers listen to his songs and act upon them. That’s why Pete is now using security,” a source told Radar Online. While Kim isn't the first celebrity Pete has dated, she is one of the biggest and is coming out of a marriage with an international superstar. It's a new level of celebrity that Pete feels requires security. "Until recently Pete never had security with him when he was out and about, even when he was engaged to Ariana Grande," the source noted. "But dating Kim is a totally different level of fame."
Pete has enjoyed years of being a celebrity while still being able "to be low-key and hang with his friends." But with him dating a reality superstar, "the reality of his situation has changed," the insider added. Before, Pete resorted to benefitting from Kim's security when out with her. However, now that he's become a more high-profile star, the Saturday Night Live star needs security with him when he's alone. “He is still Pete, but now Pete comes with a 6’1, 220 lbs security guard," the source said. Considering Kanye's threatening message in the song, his fans could start to taunt Pete when he's spotted out in public.
