Now that Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are engaged, the couple now reportedly wants more children. Earlier this month, Travis surprised Kourtney with a romantic beach proposal outside of their hotel in Montecito. In the photos that have surfaced on the internet, Kourtney seemed shocked, but also very excited to say yes to Travis. Together, Kourtney and Travis have had a whirlwind romance for the past nine months, so it only made sense for them to get engaged this quickly.
In fact, Kourtney and Travis, who teased life plans, have known each other for a long time and have been neighbors for the past seven years. While there have been rumors in the past about a potential relationship between the two, they had said a few times that they were only good friends. In January 2021, rumors began to swirl that the reality star and the Blink-182 drummer began secretly dating after they were spotted hanging out at Kris Jenner's Palm Springs estate. Since then, Kourtney and Travis have been inseparable.
Now, an insider told Us Weekly that the newly-engaged couple is planning to expand their family in the future. "They will have a baby together without any doubt, it's just a matter of when and how," the source revealed. In the past, Kourtney, whose engagement will be on Hulu, has had no issues trying to conceive her children naturally and is hopeful she will be able to do it again. However, the 42-year-old isn't opposed to other alternatives since "she and Travis want to bring their own child into the picture." The sources added that Kourtney thinks Travis is an amazing father to his two children - Alabama, 18, and Landon, 15 - and believes he will be the same towards their future child. The reality star also appreciates how Travis has been so "kind and gracious to her and Scott [Disick]'s [kids] too."
The KUWTK fans only took notice that Kourtney and Travis went Instagram official a couple of days after Valentine's Day this year, with Kourtney sharing a snap of her holding the 45-year-old's hand. Eight months later, Travis got down on one knee and proposed to Kourtney in the most romantic way. The Poosh founder later shared a series of photos to her Instagram from that special day a few days later. "I woke up all night thinking it was a dream," Kourtney wrote in her caption. Kourtney recently spoke about the possibility of having more children and how she feels pressured to freeze her eggs. "I really got talked into it," she said during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show back in March. "I was like, 'OK, whatever, I'll do it one time since everyone else is doing it. I might as well.'"
Nonetheless, Kourtney, who got engaged last weekend, has never been one to plan a pregnancy, so she's once again just hoping that the chips will fall where they may. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum will likely prefer having a child in a more spontaneous way rather than planning out her entire pregnancy. Hopefully, Kourtney and Travis will welcome a little one sooner than later.
