Kim Kardashian from Keeping Up With The Kardashians tweeted in support of jailed rapper, Corey Miller, who is also known as C-Murder. Kim is at it again as a social justice vigilante, working to free felons with controversial convictions.

In 2009, Miller was convicted of murder by a Louisiana jury, in a 10-2 decision. Since then, witnesses have come forward proclaiming his innocence. Supposedly, the case featured DNA evidence which isn't a match for Miller. These days, a case like Miller's would require a unanimous jury vote in order to secure a conviction. Reportedly, jurors have come out saying they felt pressured to convict Miller at the time the case was tried. Miller's now ex-girlfriend (singer Monica) reached out to Kim Kardashian, asking her to join the movement to free Corey. She is studying law and Kim Kardashian has been focusing on prison reform over the past few years. Her goal is to help women that are not treated fairly by the criminal justice system, but she has also joined the Black Lives Matter movement. To show support, Kim specifically tweeted #freeCoreyMiller.

According to Talent Recap, Miller was jailed for life in 2009 for the shooting murder of 16 year-old Steven Thomas. Thomas's murder took place at a nightclub in Louisiana on January 18th, 2002. Kim claims she doesn't want to reopen a painful wound, but instead wants the real killer held accountable for this murder. She wants Miller to come home to his family, including his children. In 2018, Kim helped free Alice Johnson, who was serving a life sentence for a non-violent drug offense. She has also spoke out about the Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd cases, further supporting Black Lives Matter.

KIm Kardashian KKW-2

If all the information that has come to light is true, it seems as though Kim is correct in supporting this cause. The almost two decades old case brings up questions as to the fairness of our justice system. This wouldn't be the first time a black man was tried and convicted for a crime he didn't commit. While opening up an old murder case will bring pain to the slayed man's family, an innocent man may be doing time despite being innocent. Kim's focus on prison reforms proves she has good intentions and wants to use her platform for good.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians new season premieres on E! this coming September... tune in to see what Kim will take on next and what kind of impact she will make on this case.
