It looked like a dark mannequin type of style in which the 40-year-old beauty looked almost ghastly in appearance. She wore a black Balenciaga haute couture gown and added a face-covering black mask and gloves on top.
At first, some Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans were speculating that Kim was accompanied by her estranged husband, Kanye West, on the red carpet. But that wasn't true. SKIMS founder Kim attended the event with Demna Gvasalia, the creative director of Balenciaga. Since Kim's outfit was so unique and all-black, it received mixed reviews from fans and fashion enthusiasts. Her look went viral amongst national and international audiences, which triggered viral memes and jokes on Twitter. Some fans thought it was a genius move because Kim immediately became the most talked about person at the event, and she wasn't even visible.
But others couldn't help but mock Kim by saying that she wasted time on her makeup despite knowing that she would be covering her entire face with a mask. Kim and Kendall met each other on the red carpet, and their meeting became iconic. Kim shared a picture from the event on her Instagram Story and revealed a funny backstory. She hilariously wrote, "Kendall was calling my name and I couldn't see who it was but I saw the outline of her sparkly dress."
It is hilarious that fans have also made fun of this outfit for the same reason, and now Kim has also chimed in.
