As Kim's followers and Britney supporters flood Kim with #FreeBritney comments, sources say Kim reached out to Britney in private to offer her legal advice. “She reached out to Britney as soon as she read her statement," an insider told Closer. "Kim knows she’s going through hell and that her situation is like a jail sentence." In fact, during her court appearance, Britney begged to get her "life back" and said her conservatorship was "abusive."
It turns out that this news struck a nerve with Kim. "She’s let her know she’d do whatever she could to help her win her battle," the source explained before noting how Kim could benefit the coverage of the case. "Having such a high-profile name attached to the legal team would give Britney’s case even more publicity," they said. While the source reports aren't confirmed, it wouldn't be a surprise if Kim has opted to remain silent about the #FreeBritney movement because of the conflict of interest that it could cause if she is helping Britney out legally.
