Keeping Up with the Kardashians superstar Kim Kardashian has officially followed in the footsteps of her younger half-sister Kylie Jenner by trademarking her new venture, KKW Skin. TMZ recently acquired legal documentation that validated the news. It seems like Kim is hungry for even more success, as she already owns KKW Beauty, as well as the successful shapewear line, Skims.

While Kim has been experiencing a lot of negative press lately due to her husband Kanye West's political campaign, she's still reaping the benefits of her businesses and giving plenty of attention to her work. Younger half-sister Kylie Jenner had a very similar strategy when it came to Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie started with makeup and then moved into skincare. She released Kylie Skin just last year. Could it be that Kim is taking a similar path because these half-sisters' beauty companies are both partnered with the cosmetics conglomerate, Coty?

According to Daily Mail, the queen of beauty first launched KKW Beauty back in June of 2017 and then immediately launched her fragrance collection in November of the same year. thereby kickstarting her brand. When Kim starts selling skincare. her KKW Skin products will be on store shelves at undisclosed retailers. Fans may expect moisturizers, lotions, face masks, face scrubs, and more. Kim has decided to grow her beauty empire, and her half-sister's financial success may have motivated Kim to expand KKW Beauty. While there is still much that is unknown about KKW Skin, given her half-sister's Kylie Jenner's success (and Kim's own massive success as an influencer), Kim's skincare venture will probably be a hit.

The new brand could also be a product of both sisters being involved with cosmetics conglomerate, Coty. Kylie Jenner's brand was purchased for $600 million and Coty acquired 51 percent, meaning Kylie Jenner lost official control of the business. Kim only had to let go of 20 percent of KKW Beauty in order to make it a billion-dollar brand last June. Coty paid $200 million for its stake in KKW Beauty.

Will Kim's skincare products outsell Kylie's? KUWTK will have to wait to find out.
