It was 2011 when the SKIMS founder made headlines after filing for divorce from Kris just 72 days into their marriage. While she has explained her reasons for leaving Kris so soon after their marriage, the athlete was still upset, and even engaged in a legal battle with the reality star. He would later share how "brutal" the divorce was for him due to how much he loved Kim and how big much the media speculated about them. After that split and his exit from the NBA, Kris moved back to Minnesota and has enjoyed a mostly private life.
Fans who watched the earlier seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians that included Kris Humphries are now remembering the "chemistry" that Kim Kardashian had with the former Brooklyn Nets player. "Super unpopular opinion: I think Kim + Kris H. had more visible chemistry than Kim + Kanye," one person titled a Reddit thread. The Redditor started their explanation by noting that they never thought Kim and Kris were "meant to be" or "even made a good match," but when putting all the negativity aside, "They did seem to have a great fun chemistry." Furthermore, the Reddit user explained: "Kim seemed to let loose and be genuine around him, also the fact through the relationship she really seemed to remain true to herself."

On the other hand, when it comes to the small moments that the superstar couple did share on the show, the fan noted how their chemistry appeared to be lacking. "I also think Kim felt pressure to conform to Kanye’s image and lost a little bit of what made her personality stand out," they continued. "Therefore leading to it looking like Kim’s just a copy of everything Kanye wanted and every decision was his." In fact, it is true that Kim has been open about the influence Kanye had on her style and business mindset during their relationship.
