The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian took to her social media to praise Caitlyn Jenner on her new Netflix documentary. Even though the Kardashian/Jenner clan has had a strained relationship with Caitlyn for the past six years, Kim has managed to stay on good terms with the reality star. However, the same can't be said for the other members of their family.
Caitlyn and her ex-wife, Kris Jenner, finalized their divorce in 2015. Shortly after, Caitlyn came out as a trans woman. The now 71-year-old was praised by fans of KUWTK and people in the LGBTQ+ community for her strength and bravery to start living as her true self. However, after a few years of being this pillar in the community, she started to receive backlash for the way she spoke about Kris in her memoir and for Caitlyn's far-right political beliefs.
On Sunday, Kim shared to her Instagram Story several different posts of herself watching one of the new episodes of the Netflix documentary, Untold, featuring the former olympian. The five-part sports-centered docuseries focuses on various well-known athletes such as Caitlyn. In the episode, the reality star reflects on being an Olympic athlete and her past struggles with her identity. Kim documented herself watching the episode, writing "Watching Untold" above one post. She added in another slide, "Wait this doc though!!!" The episode also included various home videos of Kim, who is fueling reconciliation rumors with Kanye West, and the rest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan when they were younger. In one of the clips Kim shared, Caitlyn can be heard talking about parenting her children and stepchildren.
"I loved being a dad, I loved carpooling kids," she revealed. "I loved giving 'em advice and bringing all these kids up." In the 90s, Caitlyn married Kris after dating for only a few months and quickly become the stepfather to her children. Besides Kim, Caitlyn also helped raise Kourtney, Khloé, and Robert Kardashian. In 1995, the former couple welcomed Kendall Jenner, and just a couple of years later, they had Kylie Jenner, who is reportedly expecting her second child. Caitlyn also has four other children in previous relationships: Burt, Brandon, Cassandra, and Brody Jenner. The youngest of the 10 siblings, Kylie, also shared a photo and video of herself watching the episode on Instagram. Even Caitlyn's eldest, Burt, commented on the docuseries episode, writing, "this one was the best."
Even though the Kardashian/Jenner family has been through a number of ups and downs over the past six years, they all still have a love for Caitlyn. While the ladies of Keeping Up With The Kardashians may not agree with a lot of the things Caitlyn has done or says, they recognize the hardships she has been through with her career in the Olympics and her journey to self-discovery.
