It didn't take onlookers long to realize that Kanye unfollowed his ex-wife over the weekend despite her nods to his influence on her new fashion looks. Amid their ongoing divorce, the Yeezy founder decided to only briefly unfollow Kim before refollowing her at the start of the week. But considering how Kanye's shortlist of followed accounts all changed their profile pics, Kanye's Instagram activity might not have anything to do with his split from Kim.
Kim and Kanye have gotten on friendlier terms since Kim's February divorce filing. At the time Kim filed the petition, Kanye stopped speaking to the SKIMS founder and changed his phone number. Kim could only contact Kanye through his security and not directly. However, over the summer, things changed. Kanye took care of their four children while Kim enjoyed a solo trip to Italy. They came together to enjoy a family outing at a children's museum before enjoying a private lunch date in Malibu.
Kim's appearance in a wedding dress at the third Donda listening party fueled a series of reconciliation rumors. But spectators thought things were taking a turn for the worse when Kanye unfollowed Kim. With their divorce ongoing, some felt Kanye unfollowed Kim after making an attempt to win her back. But over the last week, Twitter users noticed Kanye followed Kim back and possibly had her change her profile pic. "Everyone Kanye follows has blacked out their profile picture," Photos of Kanye revealed. "Kim has also just blacked hers out as well."
Despite the ongoing divorce, Kim has shown nothing but support for Kanye publicly. While attending all three listening events, Kim wore matching colored outfits with Kanye that showed a sign of their solidarity amid the split. At the third event, Kim helped close out the show wearing a white wedding gown and seemingly recreating their wedding day. When Kim stepped out at NYFW and the Met Gala, Kim donned outfits fully inspired by Kanye's creative vision. Kim covered her entire face and body in black face masks that looked like the female version of the ones Kanye has now made his signature.
Many thought Kanye attended the Met Gala with Kim wearing the male version of her shadowy look. But Kanye sat the event out and allowed Kim to steal the show. She instead attended with the designer of her look and linked up with her sister Kendall Jenner. Now Kim and the other accounts Kanye follows have all blacked out their profile pics in a move that appears to be inspired by the rap/fashion mogul. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is always on board with Kanye's creative vision. It's clear nothing has changed, even with them going through a divorce.
