Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Lamar Odom recently opened up about his near-fatal overdose and affirmed that he didn't take anything that night. Khloe Kardashian's ex-husband had a horrible time in 2015 when he had a near-death experience due to a substance overdose. However, he recently revealed a lot more about that night that isn't already known. In 2015, Keeping Up With The Kardashians viewers learned that the former NBA star overdosed on cocaine and other drugs and was found unconscious in a Nevada-based brothel.

After that, the news came out that Lamar suffered not one but 12 strokes while in a coma, and he suffered six heart attacks. It is almost a miracle that he survived. At the time, many Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans were shocked to see Lamar's recovery--and so was Khloe. The two held off on their divorce for some time while Lamar tried to rehabilitate himself. Eventually, in 2016, the couple finally divorced, and Khloe moved on. Lamar went on to do his own ventures, and the whole incident lost social media attention until now.

Former basketball player Lamar recently did an interview with Addiction Talk on Facebook and revealed a major aspect of that near-fatal incident. He claimed that he didn't take drugs that night. In fact, the 41-year-old claimed he was drugged by someone. Lamar said, "I was really hurt and almost in some sense afraid because somebody just tried to take my life." He also alleged that brothel owner Dennis Hof was responsible for his hospitalization. In the Facebook interview, Lamar said that he was really embarrassed to learn that he had ingested drugs.

Khloe's ex claimed that Dennis apparently tried to poison and kill him. In 2019, the famous brothel owner died of a heart attack. Lamar also talked about how he got addicted to drugs after losing his child due to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) in 2006. He also claimed that Khloe and her family helped him get into rehab out of love. Many Keeping Up With The Kardashians fans are thankful to Lamar for being vulnerable and sharing his addiction story on social media. A fan said, "Thank you so much for sharing your story Lamar!" Another fan wrote, "I'm so glad you got a second chance, others are not so lucky."

Many Keeping Up With The Kardashians viewers were against Lamar when he was found guilty of cheating on Khloe. However, they seem to be on his side now, especially after knowing his story. The same fans also slammed Khloe's baby daddy and NBA player Tristan Thompson for making fun of Lamar's overdose episode on Instagram. It is nice to see that former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Lamar is now much healthier and hopefully maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
