The Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan had its fair share of COVID scares this year, but the family didn't let a pandemic deter any Thanksgiving plans. They gathered for the holiday, despite countless health experts' advising people to skip the usual get-togethers.

At the start of the pandemic, Kim Kardashian revealed that Kanye West had COVID-19. She had to regularly help her husband out of bed when he wasn't feeling well, and change his sheets while wearing gloves and a face shield. Around the same time, sister Khloé also tested positive. She was forced to stay away from her 2-year-old daughter True Thompson while quarantining and recovering. These major health scares didn't stop the family from resuming their usual lavish activities. In October, Kim enjoyed her 40th birthday on a private island with friends and family. That celebration cost $1 million. Soon after, Kendall Jenner hosted a 25th birthday party at Harriet's Rooftop in West Hollywood's 1 Hotel. Around 100 guests attended, including Justin Bieber and Travis Scott, and COVID rules and regulations were basically ignored.

If the Kardashians didn't let COVID stop them from gathering earlier in the year, they certainly weren't going to let it put a damper on the holidays. On Thanksgiving, according to Elle, about 14 guests stopped by Kris Jenner's Palm Springs home. This total included the Kardashians and Jenners, as well as Travis Scott, who wanted to spend the day with Kylie Jenner and their daughter Stormi. In true Kardashian fashion, the affair was over-the-top, featuring a S'mores station, a honey wall, and a massive spread of other types of food. Kourtney shared a photo of matriarch Kris on her Kourtney Kardashian Instagram story.

The CDC strongly advised against households intermingling for the holidays and encouraged mask-wearing and social distancing if families had to get together. These mitigation efforts appeared to be non-existent inside the Palm Springs abode. When taking into consideration some family members' thoughts on these safety precautions, it doesn't come as a total surprise. Recently, Kourtney Kardashian received backlash for her controversial mask theory. Kourtney told her 102 million Instagram followers that blue surgical masks are made of "PTFE, a carcinogen made of synthetic fluoride. According to Cancer.org, it increases the risk of liver, testicle, pancreas, kidney & breast tumors + ulcerative colitis, thyroid disease, preeclampsia and high cholesterol."

Was this latest Kardashian/Jenner shindig a "superspreader" event? Only time will tell. One thing is clear, and it's the fact that fans are getting tired of the family flaunting their wealth as the public health crisis worsens. Many across the country are following CDC guidelines and abstaining from seeing loved ones. These types of people are slamming the Kardashians on social media for promoting "normal" behavior during abnormal times.
