A spokeswoman for the LAPD confirmed to Page Six that Kanye is under investigation for an alleged criminal battery charge after a confrontation with a fan in Los Angeles. An interaction with a fan became heated with Kanye after they allegedly got into an argument with each other. The fight stemmed from the individual requesting an autograph from the “Flashing Lights” rapper as he sat in his SUV outside the Soho Warehouse club. The confrontation resulted in Kanye allegedly punching the fan, who fell to the ground after the strike.
The alleged battery occurred after Kanye got dinner at the restaurant Delilah alongside Julia and other celebrities such as Madonna, Antonio Brown and Evan Ross on Wednesday night. Kanye and Julia were seen sharing an intimate kiss as she walked him to the car while deciding to stay out. The investigation will be treated as a misdemeanor battery case, potentially resulting in the former KUWTK star serving jail time of up to six months if the charges are proven. In a video obtained by TMZ, Kanye seemed visually upset as he yelled, “Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? Cause that’s what happened right ****ing now.” A representative for Kanye has yet to comment on the investigation.
