Jonathan "Foodgod" Cheban and his mother Galina were recently the victims of a horrible robbery in which the thieves apparently held a gun to Galina's head, according to Jonathan. Of course, the event shook the 46-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians friend and restaurant owner, but he has since been seen going about his daily life. The robbery occurred on the night of August 2nd and action was quickly taken.
Along with occasional Keeping Up With the Kardashians appearances, Jonathan made a name for himself as the "Foodgod," a now-iconic name the food-obsessed entrepreneur gave himself. He even legally changed his name and tattooed it on his arm. He's also well known for creating the golden chicken wings that cost a pretty penny (about $1,000 USD). His mother Galina has previously been seen around town with Foodgod at fashion shows and expensive lunches. The two of them display a very close relationship in public, which makes the news of the mugging all the more troubling.
Alongside Galina was her unidentified friend who, at this time, doesn't seem to have had anything stolen from her. What was stolen, however, was Foodgod's $250,000 Richard Mille watch. According to Daily Mail, the three of them arrived at a friend's house in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey at 8:30 PM. That's the moment the armed robber approached, eyeing Foodgod's watch. According to Foodgod, the man asked for the time before forcibly taking it off his wrist. The incident left Jonathan with minor injuries and the three of them horribly shaken. After removing the expensive item, the man met with a visible accomplice before the two of them fled the scene. The man apparently had a silver semiautomatic pistol, which he allegedly held to Galina's head.
Foodgod is currently working with police and is dead set on finding the man who did this to them. Jonathan told Daily Mail that he will do whatever it takes to find the person who was behind this terrifying act of violence. As for now, however, he seems to be moving forward with his life. Foodgod was spotted on Monday visiting a skin care clinic in Beverly Hills, seemingly incognito in a pair of black RayBans and a face mask. The paparazzi were able to identify him after he removed his face mask. Once spotted, he appeared to leave the area in his black SUV quickly.
As of right now, there is an ongoing investigation, with the only piece of evidence being the sketch based on the description Foodgod and his mother gave to the police. Even though the Keeping Up With the Kardashians celebrity was seen out and about, we can only guess what Foodgod must be going through right now following this traumatic event.
