Amber Rose has always been about female empowerment, which is why she's now apologizing for a resurfaced 2015 tweet where she referred to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians stars as the Kartrashians. Amber is not about tearing other women down to make herself look better; she'd much rather stand by her fellow ladies and encourage them to feel confident in themselves. In 2011, after a police officer in Toronto told college women that if they want to avoid rape, they should dress less slutty, the annual SlutWalks began. In 2015, Amber Rose organized her own called the Amber Rose SlutWalk to end victim blaming and slut shaming. The event includes a parade meant to entertain, educate, and empower its audience.

From 2008 to 2010, Amber dated Kim Kardashians' now ex-husband, Kanye West. Kanye has had a lot to say about his ex-girlfriend, regularly slut-shaming her, leading the star to claim Kanye has been bullying her for ten years. Amber has been very open and unapologetic about her past as a stripper, and despite what others might think of her, she refuses to apologize and will not villainize the exotic dance profession. However, in 2015, Kanye claimed via Twitter that he had to take 30 showers after dating Amber in order for Kim to go out with him.

Kanye's disrespectful tweet prompted Amber to refer to Kim and her family as the Kartrashians, which she has now apologized for. Amber took to her Instagram story to evoke the comment she made about the famous family in her 2015 tweet. Amber explained that the tweet was "immature af" and while Kanye never apologized for his misogynistic remarks about her, she's looking at the bright side and realizing remarks like his are what inspired her to start her SlutWalks which have helped so many women around the world. Amber realized she shouldn't have projected her anger onto Kim saying it was wrong "to involve the KarDASHians in the mess HE made."

Amber is not the only one to be continually tormented by Kanye's antics. It's been reported several times recently that Kanye has not left Kim alone after she filed for divorce from him in early 2021. Kim allegedly had to change her vacation spot after Kanye had planned to go to Miami at the same time as her and current fling Pete Davidson. The rapper also recently claimed she was not allowed to go to his daughter Chicago's fourth birthday party, but showed up anyway. After realizing she was projecting her anger for Kanye onto Kim, Amber concluded her Instagram apology writing, "Life is hard enough right now for a lot of ppl. I just wanna spread love and positivity."

One of the worst things women can do is turn on other women over a situation with a guy. While it isn't Amber's fault as society has turned women against each other too many times throughout history, it's great to see her apologize for her past actions and take responsibility. While it's unlikely Kanye will speak on the matter, Amber doesn't seem to care as she's used her positive attitude to give powerful meaning to the things he's said about her. If he's led her to take initiative in helping and empowering other women around the world, then maybe she doesn't need his apology anyway.
