Two years after she was fired from Vanderpump Rules, Kristen Doute is admitting she doesn't miss filming the show. Kristen was a main cast member on the series for eight years. Since her departure, Bravo aired one more season and is currently in production on Vanderpump Rules season 10.

Kristen and Stassi Schroeder were fired in June 2020 after racially insensitive actions from their past were exposed. A few months later, Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright were let go for similar reasons. The firing actually mended a rift in Kristen's friendship with Stassi and Katie Maloney. The actress has also remained close with nearly all of her former co-stars. Now, Kristen's opening up about what it's like for friends to film the show without her.

On Monday, Scheana Shay posted a clip from her Schenanignas podcast interview with Kristen to Instagram. Scheana asked her former co-star how she feels seeing friends and former Vanderpump Rules castmates film without her. Kristen admitted she didn't miss it. "Strangely enough, it's not as hard as I thought it would be," the He's Making You Crazy author revealed, "because I feel like it's not the show that I was on." The 38-year-old continued, "I don't miss that...because it's not the same anymore." Scheana agreed with her former co-star, admitting the show is "different for sure" now. "But what is hard," Kristen added, "is that Katie and I live in the same complex now...and there was a nice little filming notice on the door of my building..." she recalled, wincing, "I was like, cool cool cool guys." Scheana responded by laughing,"In your face!"

Both ladies moved into the apartment building following major break-ups. While Katie is divorcing Tom Schwartz, Kristen got out of a two-and-half-year relationship with Alex Menache. She began dating him just before her firing.

In the comments section, Scheananigans listeners overwhelmingly agreed with Kristen and Scheana about the show being different now. And judging by how many said they missed the old Vanderpump Rules and original cast, the changes were not for the better. "It's jumped the shark," wrote one Instagram user. While Kristen doesn't miss filming the show, most of the commenters expressed how much they missed watching her on it. One comment with a number of likes read, "idc what anyone says she brought the entertainment."

These complaints about the show's later seasons are nothing new. The upcoming season is also set to be much different from previous years thanks to Katie and Tom's divorce. Likewise, since last season, Lala Kent dramatically split from Randall Emmett, while Raquel Leviss called off her engagement to James Kennedy. Before it got renewed, many wished Vanderpump Rules would spin-off into Vanderpump Valley. Since the spin-off isn't happening, fans will have to wait and see if these major relationship changes bring new life to the long-running show.

Vanderpump Rules seasons 1-9 are available to stream on Peacock.
