Star of The Kardashians Kourtney Kardashian had an extravagant wedding in Portofino, Italy, but fans are poking fun at the food portion sizes that she offered her guests. On Sunday, May 22nd, Kourtney married Travis Barker in an Italian ceremony followed by a reception featuring a live performance from Italian opera singer, Andrea Bocelli. Fans got a peek at the celebration through several social media posts, including TikToks posted by Kylie Jenner and a vlog from Travis' daughter, Alabama Barker. Fans also didn't hold back with their honest opinions of the ceremony, calling Kourtney's dress underwhelming and even criticizing the goth black veil outfit she wore when she arrived in the Mediterranean country.
Before the Italian ceremony, Kourtney and Travis had already had two other weddings. The pair got engaged in October with a romantic beach proposal which was featured on a recent episode of The Kardashians. After attending the 2022 Grammy Awards in April, Kourtney and Travis headed to a Vegas wedding chapel for a wedding officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator. The reality star later revealed that the marriage was not official and was only practice for their real day. Before flying to Italy, Kourtney and Travis legalized their marriage in Santa Barbara, surrounded by only Kourtney's grandmother Mary Jo Campbell and Travis' father, Randy Barker.
After giving their style opinions, fans now have a lot to say about the food portion sizes that were served up at Kourtney and Travis' celebration. Twitter user @amelia_perrin posted a screenshot of Kylie's Instagram story of a plate of pasta and wrote, "the pasta portion size at Kourtney Kardashian's wedding is the one of the saddest things I've ever seen." Kylie's photo revealed a waiter using what looks like a soup ladle and another utensil to scoop a small serving of spaghetti onto a colorful plate. Fans joked in the replies to the tweet, comparing the serving size to a tiny bowl of salad the size of a penny.
Another fan asked if Yolanda Hadid was in charge of the portions, referencing the way Gigi and Bella Hadid's mother was very controlling over how much they ate in episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, The Kardashians star Kourtney did have some fans on her side defending her portion size choice. "It's called gourmet cuisine," Twitter user @offtthetabIe explained. "Here in Italy, most of luxury restaurants are on this wave. Portions are never as big as they are in the USA, anyway." Other than the food portions and Kourtney's wedding dress, fans seemed to love the wedding, even comparing Kris' feathery pink gown to something Schitt's Creek character Moira Rose wore in one of the show's episodes.
Kourtney is no stranger to clean eating and staying healthy, so maybe she was just making sure her guests weren't overeating or consuming too many carbs at her wedding. However, it seems The Kardashians fans would have been left hungry if they were at the wedding. Luckily, a few fans had Kourtney's back and had no problem explaining to naysayers why the portions appeared so small. But, no matter what commenters say, the Kar-Jenners appeared to have had an amazing time in Italy, no matter how small their wedding food serving sizes were.
