Fans were shocked when word got out that Kourtney and Travis tied the knot in a shotgun Vegas wedding early Monday. The couple couldn't keep their hands off each other during Sunday night's Grammys. After attending the Vanity Fair afterparty, Kourtney and Travis stopped by the One Love Wedding Chapel and had an Elvis impersonator lead their nuptials. No one knew that's what they had planned. The wedding was a surprise to their family and friends. While it was revealed that the marriage wasn't legal, Kourtney says that's not what she and Travis intended.
The KarJenners stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night to dish on their new reality show and get candid about their latest exploits. Kourtney was, of course, asked about getting "fake married" to Travis, which the Poosh founder defended. "It's not called 'fake married!'" Kourtney quipped. "There was no possibility to get a marriage license at that hour," she noted. In her recent Instagram post after the surprise wedding, Kourtney mentioned it was around 2 am when she and Travis made the random decision to get married. But when they realized they wouldn't walk away with a marriage license, they still moved forward. "We just did it anyways. It's what's in the heart," she explained.

Kourtney and Travis have been living life by their own rules since going public in January 2021. Despite shade and criticism from their exes and onlookers, the couple has remained a united front. Kourtney and Travis were close friends and neighbors for years before they started dating. It's likely why their bond as a couple is so tight. Travis proposed alongside a beach in Montecito, CA last October. The couple has been planning their wedding with Kourtney taking the lead. They're expecting on having an official wedding with family and friends.
The Vegas wedding was just something for Kourtney and Travis to share. Travis's ex-wife Shanna Moakler has wished them well. However, Scott Disick has remained silent on the surprise nuptials. The Kardashians star is still adjusting to Kourtney being with Travis. Kim Kardashian's boyfriend Pete Davidson has been working on bridging the gap between Kourtney's co-parenting partner and her fiance. Scott has no choice but to get on board because it's clear that Kourtney and Travis are the real deal.
