The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian is receiving some backlash from fans after agreeing with Kim's rant about work. In a recent video interview, Kim Kardashian gave her fellow businesswomen some advice on succeeding in the business world. "I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f--king ass up and work," Kim said in a now-viral clip from the interview. While Kim has been receiving backlash of her own for her comments, fans are really laughing at Kourtney's response. According to Kim, "nobody wants to work these days," and Kourtney agreed as she responded, "that's so true." For a few years now, fans have viewed Kourtney as the lazy sibling. However, the reality tv star defends herself, saying she's simply more passionate about being a mom and spending time with her family than running a business like her sister Kim.
The Poosh founder's reputation began during the season 15 premiere of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when she got into a blowout fight with Kim over a photoshoot she didn't want to do. The fight snowballed from Kourtney's concerns around her scheduling for a photoshoot that Kim had planned. The newly-engaged star was scheduled from 5 pm through 8 pm, leaving her little time for relaxation or having dinner with her kids. Kourtney suggested to her sister that they move their schedule up earlier in the day so they could all be done by 4 pm, but the schedule change didn't work for Kim. The argument snowballed from there with Kim infamously yelling at Kourtney, "maybe if you had a f--king business that you were passionate about, then you would know what it takes to run a f--king business, but you don't." Kim continued even after Kourtney stormed out of the room, saying, "she doesn't do sh--, she doesn't know what it's like to actually have f--king work to do."
While Kourtney seems to have forgotten about this fight, fans have not, and it's making her recent response to Kim even funnier for them. Twitter user @teacollectors was not happy about Kourtney's response at all, writing, "This is just not it. Her comment is definitely out of touch. Kourtney agreeing was even worse when she literally cried one season "work is just not my priority right now." Lost a follower here. #ByeFelicia." The fan was not the only one confused about Kourtney's comment as another Twitter user also called the Kardashian family member out. "Kourtney saying "that's so true" kills bc they had a whole season dedicated to her not wanting work," user @iamNaylinx wrote.
Kourtney has never been the business mogul that Kim had been, and that's been her own personal choice. Throughout the family's career, Kourtney has laid low compared to her famous family. When she is making headlines, it's typically for her PDA-filled relationship with Blink 182's Travis Barker and not because of any of her business ventures. The mother of three has also admitted that she doesn't think she was meant to be in the spotlight and doesn't see herself on reality tv for too much longer. She'd be just as happy hiding away with her fiance and children instead of building her Poosh empire.
Kourtney's comments are certainly ironic, seeing as she doesn't seem to want to work very hard herself. There is nothing wrong with having a passion for raising a family over running a business, but next time the topic comes up, Kourtney might want to sit that conversation out. Fans are still furious over the seemingly tone-deaf interview, but luckily they're also having a good laugh at The Kardashians star's response. Maybe she can make it up to fans by taking Kim's advice and applying it to herself or simply not joining in on conversations that don't apply to her.
