Kourtney Kardashian explains why she thinks it's important for her kids to see their mom in "working mode." Since the last episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney has been bombarded with mom-shamers, but this business-minded single mom is defending her parenting style. The eldest Kardashian sister explained why it's important for her kids to see their working mom in action.

The Kardashians' reality TV show on E!, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, documents the famous family's every move, showcasing their day to day life and struggles. The show follows mostly the family's strong women: Kris Jenner and her five daughters - Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian West, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. The family, which is overwhelmed with more females than males, has brought forth arguably some of the most business-minded women on television. All of the sisters are businesswomen and four are mothers on top of that. While Kourtney is co-parenting her three children - 9-year-old Mason, 7-year-old Penelope, and 4-year-old Reign - with her ex-partner Scott Disick, she's also facing backlash for her parenting based off how it's portrayed on the show. There have been many times the 40-year-old single mother has gone on the defense regarding her parenting style and choices.

Business-minded Kourtney has been involved in many business ventures over the course of her life. This past March, Kourtney launched her very own brand Poosh, which is described as a lifestyle website which features topics such as health and wellness, life and style, interior design, beauty, motherhood, and more. She has been shamed by other parents online for leaving her children with nannies while she works, but she went on the defense regarding her choices in parenting. She said to E! News on Tuesday, "It's interesting because I used to, as a working mom, really try to separate work from my mom time." She explained how things have been changing since her children are getting older, saying, "I recently thought it's a great thing for my kids to be able to see me in working mode."

Kourtney explains that the whole purpose of Poosh is "empowering women to be able to follow what their passions are." She opened up about how it's important for her young daughter, Penelope, to see her mom working. She said, "Even at our Poosh event, I had Penelope [Disick] come. She really wanted to spend the day with me and I thought, 'You know what, let her see her mom in action.'" For her, this project came at the right time, encouraging other people to "know that everything comes in your own timing." She mentioned that working on her lifestyle brand has been good for her, saying, "Poosh has been really fulfilling for me."

Kourtney recently made headlines for Poosh when she posted an unedited photo of herself in a bathing suit, showing off her stretch marks for her followers to see. The body-positive message has not been overlooked and women all over the world are loving her honesty toward beauty. It seems that she no longer has the guilt of leaving her kids at home while she works and maybe she won't have to hire another nanny for Penelope after all.
