The first pics have arrived of The Kardashians star Kourtney Kardashian's dress for her wedding to Travis Barker. The reality star married the Blink-182 drummer in Italy over the weekend. This was their third wedding ceremony since Travis proposed to Kourtney in October. After a practice wedding in Las Vegas, the couple legally wed in Santa Barbara. This is Kourtney's first marriage, and Travis' third.
Before things turned romantic, Kourtney and Travis were friends for nearly a decade. And while Kris Jenner called them a couple no one saw coming, Kourtney's sisters had long been rooting for it to happen. Now, seven months after Travis' romantic proposal to Kourtney, they've held an elaborate wedding ceremony. As details from the big day come out, so have the highly anticipated photos of Kourtney's wedding dress.
After the ceremony on Sunday, May 22, Kourtney posted photos of her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress on Instagram. Before her social media posts, Page Six posted pictures showcasing the dress as Kris walked her eldest child down the aisle. Kourtney, whose style turned edgier since dating Travis, chose a short, white, corset wedding dress. The 43-year-old also wore a short white dress for her courthouse ceremony, but this one was much fancier. She paired the dress with sheer lace gloves and white pumps. While the dress was short, it was accompanied by an incredibly long veil. Photos showed two men dressed in white were needed to carry it. The veil featured many intricate lace embellishments, including a large Virgin Mary figure in the back. Meanwhile, her rockstar husband wore a traditional black suit, also designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
The newlyweds have a history with Dolce & Gabbana, and with Italy. In September, they attended the fashion brand's star-studded runway show in Milan. The trip was a major milestone for Travis. It was his first time taking a plane since the crash that killed his friend. However, the father of the Kourtney's children wasn't in a particularly celebratory mood. Scott Disick insulted Kourtney and Travis in DMs to Younes Bendjma, another of the Poosh founder's exes. Younes wouldn't join in, and instead posted the DMs to his Instagram story.
Despite breaking up years ago, Scott's reaction to Kourtney's happy relationship has been the focus of many The Kardashians episodes. Unsurprisingly, he was not invited to the Italian festivities. Kourtney also faced intense criticism from Travis' second wife Shanna Moakler. The couple have repeatedly made headlines for their over-the-top PDA. But while some mock them, many Kardashian family fans have gushed over their love story. And judging by the pics from their wedding, the love birds proved their haters and naysayers wrong.
Production on The Kardashians season 2 has begun. Kourtney and Travis' wedding will be a focus of the Hulu series' sophomore season. Though fans may have to wait a bit to see it televised, the family will surely be posting a lot on social media.
