Moviegoers who flocked to theaters to see Warner Bros. and director Jordan Vogt-Roberts' Kong: Skull Island will be excited to learn that the official Blu-ray artwork and special features list has been revealed, offering plenty of extra goodies for fans of the movie who still go in for physical media. Serving as the second installment in Legendary's MonsterVerse as preceded by Godzilla from 2014 -- and soon-to-be followed by Godzilla: King of Monsters in 2019 and Godzilla vs. Kong in 2020 -- Vogt-Roberts has capably managed to jump start a whole new interconnected movie universe.

Like the soon-to-be established Dark Universe from Universal Pictures, the MonsterVerse from Legendary is seeking to bank in on some of the cultural cache that has made the likes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe such lucrative ventures for the likes of Disney and Warner Bros., respectively. Kong: Skull Island definitely set things up for further adventures in the MonsterVerse, and now fans can pour over every detail and more to their heart's content with the upcoming home video release.

Per an announcement from Universal, the official Blu-ray artwork and special features for Kong: Skull Island has just been revealed for a home video release on June 20. The movie will be made available to own on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray 3D Combo pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. Check out the official Blu-ray artwork below:

In addition to getting the full movie, though, fans will also get a bevy of special features,. Check out the list of Kong: Skull Island Blu-ray special features below:

It remains to be seen how eager film fans will be to pick up their very own copy of Vogt-Roberts' film -- especially considering that the director has stated he won't be returning to the MonsterVerse -- but with any luck Blu-ray sales for Kong: Skull Island will match its success at the box office from earlier this year. On that note, be sure to mark your calendars for the home video release of the second installment in Legendary's MonsterVerse -- and let us know in the comments if you're excited for the forthcoming franchise installments Godzilla: King of Monsters and Godzilla vs. Kong in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
