Warning, this article contains spoilers for Web of Venom: Wraith #1.

Venom villain Knull may not be as invincible as readers have been led to believe. The God of Symbiotes is near-omnipotent but not indestructible. Knull is a being so old that he existed before the creation of the universe. He has been alive for so long that his first memories are of infinite darkness - a darkness he wishes to engulf the universe in once again. Knull was eventually suppressed by The Celestials, ancient space Gods. He did manage to defeat one using his first symbiote creation, his sword the All-Black. But when it comes to Venom, The Avengers, and the heroes of Earth, they don't seem to stand a chance against Knull.

Eddie Brock has been horrified by the prospect of facing The God of Symbiotes. He realizes that his powers pail in comparison to those of the creator of the Klyntar species. The black symbiote that has lent him so much strength is just another one of Knull's many creations. Eddie and Dylan Brock may be discovering amazing new abilities in Donny Cates's Venom run but they are still nowhere near as powerful as Knull.

In Web of VenomWraith #1 by Donny Cates, Guiu Vilanova, and Kyle Hotz, Knull's greatest weakness is revealed. Web of VenomWraith #1 gives readers the backstory on Wraith, a Kree character that is symbiotically bonded with a creature known as the Exlolon. The Exolon is a variant of the Klyntar race. Wraith discovers that his symbiote is actually one of Knull's failed experiments, his trash. The symbiote that has defined so much of Wraith's existence is garbage in Knull's eyes. The God of Symbiote's darkness is much more powerful than any single symbiote. But Wraith's father, a Kree scientist, discovered a way to combat that darkness.

Wraith's father seemingly created an energy that could counteract Knull's evil. As Wraith is cast into the cold dark void of space by Knull he begins to fade. He is momentarily saved by the same light his father hoped to find. Wraith uses his last moments to travel to Earth and give Eddie Brock some news. He is not alone in his fight against The King in Black. The God of Symbiotes has an opposite - the God of Light and he is coming for Venom.

Wraith comes in direct contact with light from the only being able to match Knull's power. Writer Donny Cates has built up Knull to be a character that is almost invincible. He is so powerful that even Earth's Mightiest Heroes are shaking in their colorful boots. The strongest of Earth's heroes can not compete with Knull even with their combined power. Readers have long wondered how the heroes would stand a chance against The King in Black. The answer has finally been revealed. Knull and his darkness can be defeated by The God of Light. Luckily for Venom, Wraith declares that he is not alone in his battle against the ultimate evil.
