A first-look clip from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery shows off the new murder mystery suspects that Benoit Blanc will have to investigate. Blanc, as played by No Time to Die star Daniel Craig, was originally introduced in the 2019 mystery Knives Out, helmed by Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson. That film, which boasted a massive ensemble cast of A-listers including Jamie Lee Curtis, Christopher Plummer, and Chris Evans, was a massive hit, making over $300 million off its $40 million budget and launching the career of its star Ana de Armas into the stratosphere, leading her to much more high-profile projects like the spy thriller The Gray Man and the Marilyn Monroe drama Blonde, which comes to Netflix on September 28.

Glass Onion is Johnson's highly anticipated return to the world Knives Out, set to premiere on Netflix on December 23 following a limited theatrical release. This time around, Blanc is in the company of tech titan Miles Bron (Edward Norton) on a private island in Greece. When a particularly puzzling murder mystery arises, he must once again sniff out the culprit, which could be any of the new cast members gathered around the detective. This includes characters played by Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, and The Black Phone star Ethan Hawke.
