The cast of Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is a veritable who's who of Hollywood stars, and is jam-packed with recognizable names in nearly every role. Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Glass Onion moves the franchise to Greece and follows detective Benoit Blanc as his invitation to a billionaire's murder mystery party turns into a very real whodunit. Just as whip-smart as Johnson's first Knives Out, Glass Onion is not only a gripping mystery but also offers clever lampooning of the movie's over-the-top luxury class.
Continuing many of the thematic trends established in 2019's Knives Out, Glass Onion pushed things even further as the satire took center stage, and it was handsomely praised by critics for its clever writing. Daniel Craig As Detective Benoit Blanc
Benoit Blanc is a famous detective who is in the middle of a slump when he gets an invitation to attend a murder mystery weekend on the private island of Miles Bron. Blanc is portrayed by Daniel Craig in the Glass Onion, who is best known for playing James Bond in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre, and No Time to Die. Andi and Helen are portrayed by Janelle Monáe, a singer-turned-actress best known for her roles as Mary Jackson in Hidden Figures, Teresa in Moonlight, Marie Buchanon in Harriet, and as the lead role of Jackie Calico in the Prime Video TV series Homecoming. Monáe also appeared as Veronica Henley in the horror film Antebellum and lent her voice to the character of Claudia on Netflix's animated series Human Resources.
Kathryn Hahn As Claire Debella
Lending her comedic touch to the cast of Glass Onion, Kathryn Hahn is Claire Debella, the governor of Connecticut who is running for the United States Senate. Hahn is best known for playing the witchy Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s WandaVision, a role she'll reprise in her spin-off show, Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The actress also gained recognition for her other Emmy-nominated role as Raquel Fein in the TV series Transparent. In the Glass Onion cast, Toussaint is portrayed by Leslie Odom Jr., who is best known for his Tony-winning role as Aaron Burr in the acclaimed Broadway musical Hamilton. Odom scored an Oscar nomination for playing Sam Cooke in One Night in Miami, and he also played Dr. Arbuthnot in Murder on the Orient Express, and Harold McBrayer in The Many Saints of Newark. The actor voiced the character of Owen Tillerman in the animated series Central Park, and plays the recurring role of Draemond Winding on ABC's Abbott Elementary.
Kate Hudson As Birdie Jay
Adding more star power to the Glass Onion cast, Kate Hudson plays Birdie Jay, a former model turned fashion designer who always says the wrong thing and gets into trouble on social media. Hudson is perhaps best known for her Oscar-nominated role as Penny Lane in Almost Famous. Duke Cody is a Twitch streamer and YouTube star who purports himself to be a men’s rights activist, and he's played by Dave Bautista in the Glass Onion cast. Bautista is a former WWE wrestler whose best-known role is Drax in the MCU movie Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequels. Bautista also starred as Sapper Morton in Blade Runner 2049, Diaz in Riddick, Rabban in Dune, and Leonard in M. Night Shyamalan's Knock at the Cabin. Whiskey is Duke's girlfriend and his work assistant who is trying to make it by way of his successful YouTube channel. The actress also appeared in notable guest-starring roles as Tina in Stranger Things , and she played Jessica on the CW series The Originals, which is set in the Vampire Diaries timeline. Ethan Hawke as Efficient Man - Leading the Glass Onion supporting cast, Ethan Hawke portrays Miles’ assistant who meets the tech billionaire’s friend group when they arrive in Greece.
