Daniel Craig gets ready for the start of filming on Knives Out 2 in a new image. The follow-up to Rian Johnson's 2019 hit mystery film Knives Out is expected to begin filming in Greece later this summer with an entirely new cast around Craig. While most recent news about the Netflix-produced sequel has centered on the notable castings of Kate Hudson, Janelle Monae, and more, it appears that the Benoit Blanc of Knives Out 2 is also hard at work preparing for production.

The Greek Consulate in New York posted on their Instagram, greeceinnewyork, an image of Craig acquiring his visa with Greek Consul General Konstantinos Koutras. Amusingly enough, the English actor who portrays Knives Out 2's French detective has no Instagram account, and the account tagged by the Greek Consulate, @craigdanielbond, is actually a fan account. Though the news only concerns a travel visa, the Greek Consulate's post suggests that filming is on schedule for Knives Out 2, the first of two planned sequels for the Oscar-nominated whodunnit. Still, it should be a welcome sight for any Benoit Blanc fan to see that Craig is surely Greece-bound after it was confirmed that Knives Out 2 would be leaving Jamie Lee Curtis and the Thrombey family behind. With its famous lead and new ensemble headed for the Mediterranean, Knives Out 2 is surely poised to build upon its predecessor's immense success.
