Kneazles are a cat-like magical beast players can catch to obtain Kneazle Fur in Hogwarts Legacy. Kneazles are highly intelligent and can often prove dangerous to the unwary, which makes catching them a challenging task for players in Hogwarts Legacy. However, catching a few Kneazles for the Room of Requirement’s Vivarium gives players access to a source of Kneazle Fur, one of several ingredients used to craft useful gear upgrades. Like all magical beasts in Hogwarts Legacy, Kneazles can be found and rescued at certain locations scattered throughout the open world.
Players can catch magical beasts and tame them, producing resources for gear upgrades in Hogwarts Legacy. To do so, players need to have completed The Elf, the Nab-Sack, and the Loom, a main quest in which the house elf Deek gives players the magical Nab-Sack and teaches them the art of beast-catching. This allows players to travel to beast sites and rescue beasts, including Kneazles, Nifflers and even unicorns from nefarious poachers. To catch Kneazles, players need to travel to one of several Kneazle Dens.
Where To Find And Catch Kneazles In Hogwarts Legacy
Kneazle Dens can be found at all the locations marked on the maps above. The easiest to reach is the Kneazle Den just south of Brocburrow, which players might have visited in order to grab one of Hogwarts Legacy’s Demiguise Statues. This is the closest Kneazle Den to Hogwarts. Players willing to travel a bit further afield can also find Kneazle Dens in the South Sea Bog, west of Bainburgh and northwest of Cragcroft.
Once players have reached a Kneazle Den, they should be able to spot a few Kneazles roaming the area. Catching Kneazles is relatively easy compared to catching larger beasts such as unicorns or hippogriffs.
Use the Disillusionment Charm and sneak up to a Kneazle, before using Levioso, Arresto Momentum, or Glacius to immobilize it. Then use the Nab-Sack to capture it, pressing the catch button four times.
Players can make catching beasts easier by taking time to complete assignments and learn spells from their teachers. Even smaller beasts such as Kneazles can quickly run away from players, making it difficult to catch them. As such, players looking to live out their dreams of being a magizoologist need to use spells, as they’re an essential part of finding and catching fantastic beasts in Hogwarts Legacy.
