A new poster for The Kissing Booth 3 has been revealed, teasing the finale of Netflix’s hit teen romance trilogy. Based on the novels by Beth Reekles, The Kissing Booth and The Kissing Booth 2 have been huge successes for the streamer, helping to lead the charge for Netflix’s expansion into original teen-focused content. The Kissing Booth 3 will wrap up the story of the trilogy when it releases on Netflix on August 11.

The Kissing Booth films follow the story of high school student Elle Evans (Joey king), her best friend Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney), and Lee’s older brother Noah (Jacob Elordi), who strikes up a romantic relationship with Elle. Through the first two movies in the series, Elle and Noah go through the ups and downs of a secret – and then not so secret – relationship, dealing with struggles of trust and distance while also figuring out who they are. Though critics have panned both movies for being overly cliché, the series has become one of Netflix’s biggest original film franchises since the first Kissing Booth released in 2018.

Reekles herself has now shared the official poster for The Kissing Booth 3 via Twitter, building anticipation amongst fans for the trilogy’s conclusion. The poster promises that the upcoming film will be “The end of an era,” and “The start of everything else,” showing Elle alongside Noah and Lee. Check out the new Kissing Booth 3 poster below:

At the end of the second movie, Elle discovers that she’s been accepted into both Berkeley – where Lee is going – and Harvard – where Noah goes. The ultimatum of which school to choose, and whether to stay with her best friend or her sort-of boyfriend, will likely be a major plot point of The Kissing Booth 3. That means more teen romance clichés and likely more negative reviews from critics, but also likely another hit for Netflix.

Partially because of The Kissing Booth’s success, Netflix has expanded its assortment of original teen content over the past few years – a trend that will surely continue after the trilogy concludes. It’s also possible that The Kissing Booth 3 won’t be the final film in the franchise. Reekles wrote the first novel in 2012 and only returned to write more after the Netflix adaptation became so successful. The third book, The Kissing Booth 3: One Last Time is currently available for preorder, and The Kissing Booth 3 will arrive on Netflix streaming on August 11.
