Taron Egerton will return as Eggsy next year in Kingsman 3. 20th Century Fox found a new franchise via the mind of Matthew Vaughn in Kingsman, after he successfully rebooted the X-Men for them with X-Men: First Class. Vaughn adapted the Mark Miller comic series Kingsman to the big screen for the first time in 2014. Kingsman: The Secret Service was a breakout hit, receiving great reviews and earning over $400 million worldwide. Fox followed it up with a sequel last year in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which earned almost the exact same amount of money, but was not as well-received.

Despite a possible dip in quality with the second film, plans for future Kingsman movies and spinoffs have not slowed down. This was confirmed when it was recently revealed that Kingsman 3 was scheduled to film in early 2019. Vaughn is returning to direct, while Egerton is returning to star, alongside Colin Firth. Now fans finally know when they'll see the end of the trilogy.

Exhibitor Relations shared the news that Fox has officially dated Kingsman 3. The untitled sequel will hit theaters on November 8, 2019. This marks an even later release window for the franchise, as the first film hit theaters in March, and the sequel arrived in September. Fox must be hoping that this later release date will position Kingsman 3 to end the trilogy on a high-grossing note.

Colin Firth Taron Egerton and Halle Berry in Kingsman 2

The November 8 release date was recently freed up in a big way, with Bond 25 being delayed till 2020, and it appears Fox saw this as a perfect opportunity to jump on the vacancy. Even though it won't have to compete with Bond now, it does still have direct competition that weekend from Sonic the Hedgehog and Roland Emmerich's disaster movie MidwayKingsman 3 should still be the favorite to come out on top, as it's the known franchise, but its potential rivals may well be more appealing to a wider demographic. Regardless, it'll still have plenty of other competition that could chip away at its box office haul, as Wonder Woman 1984 releases the week before, and Tim Miller's Terminator arrives the week after.

While the film's box office competition looks stacked now, it's still over a year away, and things could change. All Kingsman 3 should worry about is returning the franchise to the glory of the first film, and not what other movies are opening around it. Vaughn has been working on a script for months now, and if his expansive plans for the entire franchise are going to happen, they'll need Kingsman 3 to be a big hit. Disney should own Fox and all their properties by this time, so Kingsman 3 may need to impress its new bosses to keep the franchise alive.
