20th Century Fox has released a whole slew of cool new character posters for its upcoming sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle. Akin to the Comic-Con promotional character posters released merely days ago, these new posters feature the same characters, the same poses, yet different, somewhat more plot-centric captions.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is the follow-up to the director and writer Matthew Vaughn's hit adaptation of the cult comic series Kingsman: The Secret Service. The 2014 film was a pleasant surprise for moviegoers across the globe, as it generated mostly positive reviews and was met with monetary success.

Featuring Taron Egerton as "a gentleman spy," Channing Tatum as "a token American," Jeff Bridges as "a grumpy boss," Halle Berry as "a gadget woman," Mark Strong as "a gadget man," Julianne Moore as "an eccentric villain," and Colin Firth alongside "far-fetched plot," 20th Century promises "'proper' spy movie." Here is the official synopsis for Kingsman: The Golden Circle (also released by 20th Century Fox):

Kingsman: The Secret Service” introduced the world to Kingsman - an independent, international intelligence agency operating at the highest level of discretion, whose ultimate goal is to keep the world safe. In “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organisation in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organisations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy…

With the release of these posters, it would appear as though 20th Century Fox is relying heavily on their fan-favorite characters to drive audiences to the theater when this sequel arrives in theaters this September. Egerton's 'Eggsy' proved to be a lovable, albeit mischevious protagonist, and the supporting cast of Colin Firth and Mark Strong (among others) were equally likable. And with the addition of talents such as Tatum, Bridges, Berry and Moore, it certainly looks as though character could be a strong point for the franchise yet again.
