Despite news that previously said otherwise, Warhorse Studios' Bohemia-set RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance will indeed make its way to Nintendo Switch; however, details are incredibly thin as of writing. Word that a Switch port was in the works originally made the rounds in January thanks to a Nintendo Japan listing for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

According to Warhorse and parent company Koch Media, such a listing mistakenly surfaced because of a "clerical error" related to the game's PS4 version in Japan. Still, the news picked up steam, with many a Nintendo Switch owner hoping the title would migrate eventually migrate to the popular hybrid console. Warhorse and Koch Media dashed these hopes, however, saying there were no plans in place for such a project. It would seem that plans have since changed quite drastically.

Upon announcing Warhorse Studios' addition to its newly founded Prime Matter label, Koch Media announced that a port for Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Nintendo Switch is in development. Saber Interactive leads the charge on this front, a smart choice given the team's incredible efforts with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt port on Switch. Unfortunately, launch details, including a potential release window, remain under wraps. A press release from Koch Media cites the "overwhelming feedback" from fans as a motivating factor behind the decision. Warhorse Studios shared a similar sentiment in the following social media post:

Reason suggests Kingdom Come: Deliverance's Nintendo Switch version remains a long way out from release. This much seems evident since Koch Media would've made the decision fairly recently. Plus, the only imagery that accompanied the news is the photoshopped picture above of Kingdom Come art splayed across a Switch screen.

While this does mark big news for Nintendo Switch owners, fans of the hybrid console have even more to look forward to in the days ahead. Notably, Nintendo plans to host an E3 2021 Direct that goes live on the final day of the event. Viewers can tune in to the livestream on June 15 at 9:00 am PT to see roughly 40 minutes of information centered around Switch games, most of which will hit stores sometime in 2021.
