Venom's latest and greatest villain The King in Black has been busy. Finally awake from millennia of slumber, the God of Symbiotes has been doing a little more than stretching his legs. Since Earth and The Avengers are quite a distance away, Marvel's next big threat has decided to make some pit stops. A little sightseeing, a little galactic conquest, a good old fashioned road trip.

Knull's arrival will affect all of Earth's heroes. Spider-Man, Namor, and many other key Marvel Comics heroes will be involved with the King in Black event. But Earth is just a blip in the vast expanse of the universe and Knull wants it all. As one of the first beings to exist he just wants his new noisy neighbors to quit that darned racket, he'll turn the lights off for them, planet by planet. The Kree/Skrull Alliance Armada makes the terrible mistake of trying to save the survivors of a ship. Little did they know Knull was nearby.

Earth is just one planet. Knull is coming for Earth but he wants to engulf the entire universe in darkness. That entails snuffing out every light he comes across on his journey to Earth. Every planet and every lifeform he encounters is in grave danger. And as he continues his journey, his army's number of hosts only grows.

The Avengers are preparing for Knull's arrival and Venom will be leading the charge. It will take every single one of Earth's heroes to combat the huge army that Knull is amassing. Few heroes have the ability to even dare oppose this near-omnipotent being. Like Galactus, Knull is devouring planet after planet but Knull's symbiotes can repurpose every lifeform they encounter to serve his sinister cause. The King in Black draws nearer...and he is not alone.
