Thanks to the new Marvel Legends Fans First livestream, a whole new wave of action figures from Hasbro has been revealed including the King in Black and a truly unique version of Venom. Featuring figures from upcoming MCU releases, the current comics, as well as Golden Age-era first appearances, there's something for every kind of Marvel fan. However, Knull the Symbiote God and a winged Lethal Protector arguably take the cake as one of the more exciting reveals.
Featured in 2020's King in Black event from Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, Knull the Symbiote God was inadvertently released by Venom who had no choice but to save his son Dylan from his rival Carnage. Despite the Avengers spending months preparing for Knull's arrival, they still weren't prepared for the sheer amount of power Knull brought to the table, covering the world in a massive symbiote dome and turning several heroes into his Venomized servants. The day was only saved once Eddie Brock was chosen by the Enigma Force (revealed to be an opposing force to the King in Black). Creating a massive cosmic battle-ax made from Thor's hammer and Silver Surfer's board, Venom killed Knull and became the new King in Black, complete with impressive dragon wings as Eddie gained control over the entire symbiote hivemind.
As such, King in Black is one of Marvel's definitive Venom stories worthy of commemoration thanks to Marvel Legends. As revealed in their new Fans First livestream, Knull stands much taller than the average Marvel Legends figure, an imposing villain complete with his deadly sword with dynamic red accents across the blade. Likewise, Venom is featured with his large dragon wings and style inspired by Stegman's artwork (the wings can also be removed). Both figures also come with alternate heads as well. Packaged together, the impressive King in Black 2-pack will be available for pre-order April 20th on Hasbro Pulse's website.
The livestream also recapped some of the new MCU figures coming from Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Thor: Love and Thunder, and even some past films such as Spider-Man: Homecoming with a Peter Parker/Ned Leeds 2-pack. Additionally, a new wave of Spider-Man figures was revealed such as Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Ham, the original comics version of the Iron-Spider suit, and even a Spider-Man styled after the Webslinger's first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15 from Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The figure line has previously blown fans away with the massive Legends Galactus figure, and this new Knull figure definitely follows that legacy.
Needless to say, the new Marvel Legends livestream revealed a lot of new figures for fans to get excited about. That being said, the King in Black 2-pack will no doubt be one of the first pre-orders to sell out. Given the popularity of the King in Black crossover and its impressive characters, it's definitely going to be a collector must-have for Venom fans.
