The series Keeping Up With The Kardashians gives fans an inside look at the lives of the Kardashian clan - that is, when they choose to open up. Kourtney Kardashian was threatened with being let go from the show in this week's episode because of her lack of participation.

During the episode that aired December 8, Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian West opened up about their frustrations with sister, Kourtney, and her unwillingness to film for the show. “We have a proposal for you: It starts with an F and ends with a D,” Kardashian West said on a phone call with her sister.

It all started when Kourtney was asked about the hickey on her neck. She refused to say who gave it to her, which angered her siblings. In a recap of the episode (via: Us Weekly), Khloe and Kim feel as though they've been open and honest with fans over the course of the series. From pregnancy announcements to cheating scandals, the Kardashian family has showcased it all, except for Kourtney. She prefers to keep much of her personal life private. From who she's dating at the time to what's going on in her relationship with Scott Disick (the father of their three children), Kourtney has slowly been pulling back on what the cameras can capture.

"I shared everything from my relationship with Scott [Disick] - everything - to where all these people were involved in my relationship and it was horrible for our relationship. The private moments are so special, and I just need more of them" Kourtney explained. Momager Kris Jenner sympathized with her eldest child, calling a meeting with the producers of the show at the end of the episode that resulted in Kourtney storming off. She opened up about her well-being is “more important than the show" and that she doesn't see any reason why she has to make any changes to her personal boundaries for the sake of entertainment.

While Kourtney's frustrations are valid and understandable, so are Khloe and Kim's. Whenever Kourtney doesn't film, they have to make up for it by sharing even more personal stories from their lives. And her unwillingness to film is not lost on fans, who have taken notice of her lack of appearances and general participation in anything related to the show. So, with all that said, it may be time for Kourtney to finally remove herself from the production completely, but only time will tell.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians airs on E! Sundays at 9pm ET.
