Kim Kardashian took a page from her sister Kendall Jenner's book as The Kardashians star recently walked the runway in Balenciaga's Paris fashion show. The company announced in February that Kim was their new brand ambassador, and around the same time, they released a campaign featuring the reality TV star in some of their skin-tight looks. It seems like Kim may have been aiming for the title as her wardrobe throughout 2021 was filled with Balenciaga looks. One of the most popular styles Kim regularly sports is what her fans refer to as "poots." Kim has worn the pants and boots combo in a variety of colors.
Before angering the world in Marilyn Monroe's dress at the 2022 Met Gala, Kim was dressed by Balenciaga for the 2021 event. The star wore a black outfit that covered everything but her long black ponytail. As always, Kim had everyone talking about her. When they weren't pointing out how odd the outfit was, they were explaining its significance, claiming that even without her face being shown, everyone could still tell it was Kim because of how iconic her figure has become in modern-day pop culture. The SKIMS founder also wore a series of pink Balenciaga looks for her Saturday Night Live promo week and finished it out with a pink crushed velvet Balenciaga one piece for the hosting gig.
Reality star Kim has taken on a new role with Balenciaga as she recently walked the runway in their Paris fashion show. Vogue shared that Kim walked the runway alongside actress Nicole Kidman, singer Dua Lipa, and models Bella Hadid and Naomi Campbell. Kim was cheered on by her mother, Kris Jenner, and oldest daughter North West as she ambled down the runway in her black Balenciaga gown. Under her gown, she appeared to have on her infamous "poots" in black and shoulder-high black gloves that all the models wore with their outfits.
Kim's hair, which has remained bleach blonde since the Met Gala in May, was pushed back out of her face into a sleek bun. The Kardashians star mimicked the other models and wore a very grave expression on her face as she passed her mother, Kris, in the audience, who was holding her phone out to record her daughter in a moment reminiscent of her iconic "You're doing amazing, sweetie" scene from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. In the scene, Kim was also modeling but was doing a Playboy photo shoot, not a runway show. Kim's past runway experience includes several L.A. fashion week shows from early in her career, including one for her fashion boutique DASH, which shut down in 2018.
Whoever said runway models have to be tall never saw the 5'2 reality star own the runway with her larger-than-life presence. With Kim's love for Balenciaga and her ambassador role, it's hard to imagine the show not including the SKKN founder. The star will likely be one of the first celebrities to wear the new collection out on the street, and fans will definitely recognize the brand's eclectic style as soon as she does. The Kardashians star fit right in with stars like Dua and Bella, who stand at 5'8 and 5'9, respectively, and some may even argue she stole the show.
