Fans noticed that Kim Kardashian unfollowed Miley Cyrus on Instagram and some think the Keeping Up The Kardashians star did it over Pete Davidson. Miley recently hosted a New Year's Eve celebration in Miami with Pete. But the two only displayed friendly energy between them. Miley did recently poke fun at Pete for dating Kim. It could all be hinting at some underlying tension between Kim and the pop star over their mutual friend.
It was early last month when Miley and Pete appeared as guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and opened up about their friendship. The two developed a bond during Miley's time hosting Saturday Night Live in 2017. The two connected so much they been got a matching tattoo themed around one of their skits on the show. Elsewhere during Miley and Pete's Tonight Show appearance, the pop star poked fun at the comedian's budding romance with Kim by singing a cover of the Yvonne Fair song "It Should Have Been Me." She started the performance by dedicating the song to the actor/comedian. "Pete Davidson, this song is for you," she began. "When I saw those photos, this is what I played." During the performance, she continued to say Pete's name. "You know, Pete, How could you do this to me on the week of promoting our special?"
While Kim had been following Miley before the TV appearance, fans recently noticed that Kim unfollowed the "Wrecking Ball" singer. Screenshots from Page Six show that at one point, Kim was following Miley. But many suspect she unfollowed the singer after she publicly put the moves on Pete on national television. After Miley's Tonight Show appearance with Pete, she was photographed leaving his Staten Island condo. It's the same condo Kim was seen visiting later in the month. Kim and Pete were photographed boarding a private jet to the Bahamas on Monday.
The reality star is still going strong with Pete after filing to become legally single from Kanye West. Sources say despite being legally single, Kim is still "happily taken" by Pete. So much so, the 41-year-old mother of four appears to be feuding with the 29-year-old pop star over her 28-year-old boyfriend. Kim has been trying to be mindful of Kanye by avoiding PDA with Pete. Kim opts for group settings with Pete instead of romantic dates as to not offend her ex-husband. As she moves toward finalizing her third divorce, Kim is taking things slow with Pete.
Pete and Miley kept things casual during their NYE hosting gig. The two appear to be good friends. But Kim might have her guard up after Miley made such public advances on Pete. With Kim preparing to release her new reality show, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is set to introduce a new and improved Kim. She is single, dating, and closer to getting into law school. Maybe Pete might make a tiny appearance on the new Hulu series.
