The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian, called Tristan Thompson a "great dad" on social media after the cheating scandal. The Kardashian family seemed to have to put their negative feelings aside and try to move past the breakup in hopes of living a more drama-free life.
The Cleveland Cavilers player made headlines for his cheating scandal with Jordyn Woods, who was Kylie Jenner’s best friend. Khloe Kardashian broke up with Thompson back in February and had been steering clear of him ever since. The couple welcomed their baby girl to the world in April of 2018, but ended their relationship ten months later.
On September 8, Kim tweeted her support for Thompson’s ability to be a great father, as first reported by Us Weekly. The tweet stemmed from seeing Thompson interact with his daughter, True Thompson, at her first birthday party which ex Khloe hosted. The Kim Kardashian West Beauty founder also said that she loved her big family celebrations, saying it's always so much fun to have all the kids playing together. On the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloe and Kim kept ignoring FaceTime calls and deliveries of flowers from her ex-lover trying to win her back. The mother and reality star eventually caved and extended an invitation to Thompson for their daughter’s birthday event. During the festivities, Khloe claimed that Thompson tried to kiss her.
The NBA star complained to Kanye West while at the party about how he was being portrayed on the show. Kanye’s song “Runaway” had been dubbed over clips of Thompson’s cheating scandal for promotional reasons, and Thompson had felt that they were using the rapper’s music to reinforce his narrative. During this conversation, fans watched as Khloe really struggled to put on a brave face while in front of her ex-boyfriend. She told cameras that she may have looked calm and collected, but was actually filled with anxiety all day about the party.
Fans feel for Khloe and the uncomfortable situation that she had to endure on her daughter's first birthday. Khloe admitted that she was not ready to speak or even see Thompson, but would try to talk the situation over if there was a therapist involved. Unluckily, couples’ therapy did nothing to reunite the once happy couple. Fans will have to continue to watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians to see how the situation ultimately plays out.
