As followers of Kim Kardashian’s Instagram may have noticed, she’s recently vacationed in Rome, Italy. Like many other tourists, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star visited historic destinations and learned about the local lore. The European vacation is following her recent divorce from Kanye West and probably helped her move forward from the break up.
In February, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West publicly confirmed their divorce. After years of the sensational Kimye, fans were troubled by their split. However, life goes on, and both of the celebrities are doing their thing as newly single individuals. The rap artist has already begun to date as he’s been spotted with Russian model and actress Irina Shayk. On the other hand, Kim hasn’t jumped back into the dating pool yet; she’s taking time to process her divorce during her travels while continuing to work. Kim also had a tough run after failing the baby bar, which was the first exam for her law degree. Most recently, she traveled to Europe to explore the ancient city of Rome.
In late June and early July, Kim ventured across the ocean to Rome, Italy. The vacation comes a few months after her divorce from Kanye, indicating that this is an “Eat Pray Love” moment. She visited the Trevi Fountain, where she was photographed in a strapless mini dress with a brown animal print pattern. The look was complete with boxy sunglasses and strapped sandals. The reality star also visited the Spanish Steps wearing a white asymmetrical top with a matching mini skirt and spiral strap shoes. Kim also stopped at the aged, yet inspiring, Roman Colosseum where she met up with old friends, makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic and hairstylist Chris Appleton. She was photographed in a white long sleeve bodysuit, high waisted blue shorts and heeled flip flops. Below is another outfit she wore when grabbing dinner one evening.
On July 1, Kim posted about her trip to the Vatican City. “It was amazing to be able to view all of the iconic art, architecture and ancient Roman sculptures in person, especially Michelangelo’s works. We even had an opportunity to view their private archive of robes worn by every pope in history, dating back to the 1500s,” Kardashian wrote in the caption. As she was photographed in a revealing white lace dress, she added that she covered up while inside St. Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel’s out of respect to the faith. Kim was spotted a few more times in Rome getting dinner and visiting the Fendi headquarters.
Travelling is always a great way to take a breath of fresh air and get inspired for the future. Following a tumultuous and high-profile divorce, it looks like Kim took time to heal and move on from her breakup from Kanye. She is positively shining in all the pictures and doing what the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star does best: glow up!
