Kim Kardashian is reportedly happy that Pete Davidson "stuck up for her" amid The Kardashians star's custody issues with Kanye West. While she notes her boyfriend "made things worse," it wasn't Kim or Pete's intention. Kim seeing Pete contact Kanye to defend her lets her know the comedian is on her side. As Kim's divorce drama continues, Pete has become a direct target for Kanye.

Kanye and Pete had a war of words during a heated text message exchange after the Saturday Night Live star sent Kanye a text trying to get him to "calm down" with his social media posts calling out Kim. Pete tried to get Kanye to understand how "lucky" he is to have Kim as the mother of his four children. But instead of listening to Pete's advice, Kanye asked for Pete's location. The standup comic shot back telling Kanye he was "in bed with your wife." The petty text included a selfie of Pete lying shirtless in bed and it revealed the "Kim" tattoo the comedian has on his chest.

Many wondered if Kim had any involvement in Pete texting Kanye. While it hasn't been confirmed, Kim is happy to see her boyfriend speak up in her defense. "Kim didn't want Pete to make things worse, but she was also glad that he stuck up for her," a source told ET. Pete appeared to try and ease the tension between Kim and Kanye, but with the rapper being incensed about Kim and Pete's romance, the comedian was the last person he wanted to hear from. Pete's nice gesture heightened the tension and Kanye hasn't stopped posting about the film star. With all the drama surrounding Kim, the reality star is elated to have Pete "on her side publicly and privately."

After Kanye attacked Pete in two music videos for his single "Eazy," insiders said Kim was worried her third ex-husband would scare away her new boyfriend. Kim and Pete have been going strong for months now. Pete even referenced how long they've been dating in his alleged texts to Kanye saying the rapper had been taunting him for "six months." New sources say Kim is "hoping" Kanye will come to terms with their divorce and lay off her and Pete on social media. "Kanye's actions are causing a lot of stress for her," the insider said of Kim. The SKIMS founder wants Kanye "to stop and not have the kids hear anything or be affected negatively by his antics," the source noted.

While the West kids are still young, North West is active on TikTok. The 8-year-old is getting old enough to understand if her parents are feuding should she come across something online and reportedly "hears things from her friends" and has found her dad's social media. Kim is set to update fans on her life in The Kardashians' new show coming to Hulu next month. Kim will also open up about her dating life with Pete and it could result in Kanye taking to Instagram to vent some more.
